Our client is a Web3 cybersecurity startup, who are now growing the team and looking for a remote first Marketer / Community Manager / Developer Advocate as the company and product scale.

You can be an engineer who can turn deep technical knowledge into clear content and credible conversations within the Web3 community, or a marketer who can code and 'gets' the technical side.

You will help grow awareness of the company by creating useful technical content, answering community questions, and engaging with developers, security researchers, auditors, and protocol teams. You should bring hands-on engineering experience, strong communication skills, and an established following within the Web3 or engineering community.

This role combines technical education, developer advocacy, and community engagement. Success means helping technical audiences understand our work, trust our expertise, and recognize where our product can help.

What you’ll do

· Create technical content: Write articles, tutorials, technical breakdowns, social posts, and product explainers for developers and security professionals. Build code examples, diagrams, or demonstrations where useful.

· Answer community questions: Respond to technical questions about our product, blockchain infrastructure, and security topics. Provide clear, well-supported answers and work with internal engineers when deeper investigation is needed.

· Engage with the ecosystem: Participate in relevant discussions with developers, researchers, auditors, and protocol teams, building relationships through useful technical contributions.

· Analyze industry developments: Follow blockchain security incidents, protocol updates, and emerging risks. Review original sources, code, postmortems, and relevant onchain evidence before publishing.

· Explain our product accurately: Work with the founders and engineering team to understand product capabilities, integration requirements, and limitations, and communicate them clearly.

· Grow relevant reach: Distribute content through company channels and contribute through your established professional presence, with expectations for personal-account activity agreed upfront.

· Bring community insights into the company: Capture recurring questions, developer feedback, and misconceptions to improve content, documentation, and product messaging.

What you’ll bring

· Hands-on software engineering experience, demonstrated through professional work, shipped projects, open-source contributions, or technical security research.

· A strong understanding of blockchain systems, smart contracts, onchain transactions, and common security risks.

· The ability to read relevant code, assess technical claims, and explain how systems work.

· A portfolio of accurate, accessible technical content, such as tutorials, engineering articles, security analyses, or substantive technical threads.

· An established Web3 or engineering following, with meaningful engagement from relevant technical audiences. We value audience relevance and credibility alongside reach.

· Strong written English and confidence handling public technical discussions, including follow-up questions and constructive disagreement.

· Sound research and fact-checking habits, including knowing when to qualify a claim or seek an internal technical review.

· The ability to work independently in a remote-first team, collaborate asynchronously, and maintain a consistent publishing schedule.

Useful additional experience

· Blockchain security, smart contract auditing, incident analysis, or security tooling.

· Developer relations, developer education, or technical product advocacy.

· DeFi, wallet infrastructure, smart accounts, or transaction security.

· Creating integration guides, sample applications, or technical demonstrations.

· Working with Markdown, GitHub, diagramming tools, and content automation workflows.

What success looks like

· Technically accurate content that attracts and engages the right audience.

· Helpful, substantive community responses that build confidence in the company.

· Stronger relationships with developers, researchers, and protocol teams.

· Increased interest in our product from relevant technical users.

· A reliable feedback loop between the community and our engineering team.
