We are a leading trading platform that is ambitiously expanding to the four corners of the globe. Our top-rated products have won prestigious industry awards for their cutting-edge technology and seamless client experience. We deliver only the best, so we are always in search of the best people to join our ever-growing talented team.
As a Technical Product Operations Manager, you will own the work that moves our platform forward but does not fit inside any single team. Our engineering organisation is split across several tribes, each with its own services, roadmap and release cadence. Platform migrations, retiring shared dependencies, standardising how every squad works and rolling out new engineering practices all cut across those boundaries, and you will be the person who holds that work end to end.
You will run cross-team technical programs, help drive and improve the engineering processes everyone relies on, and make sure both are backed by real data rather than assumptions. This is not a people management role, and you will not write production code. You do need to be technical enough that engineers treat you as a peer. The role is broad and hands-on. In a typical week you might sequence a Kafka topic migration across four squads, fix a company-wide process that keeps stalling at the same step, pull numbers from a database to settle a question about impact, and ship a small automation that removes a recurring manual task for the whole department. Continuous improvement and AI are central to the role: you will constantly look for better ways for engineering to work and apply AI where it clearly improves throughput, quality or speed.
Responsibilities:
Run cross-team technical programs such as platform migrations, dependency removals, standardisation initiatives, decommissioning, and large infrastructure changes. For each one, break broad goals into sequenced plans with named owners.
Find the right decision-makers when ownership is unclear, facilitate technical discussions (including where squads disagree), and secure clear decisions with committed dates.
Maintain a single, accurate view of each programme's phase, blockers, owners, and delivery dates. Raise conflicts between sources rather than smoothing them over.
Produce concise, accurate status reporting that engineering leadership can act on.
Drive and improve company-wide engineering processes, such as tech design review. This means sharpening the processes already live, establishing new ones where needed, and running their cadence, templates, queues, and follow-through.
Gather feedback from engineers and separate friction worth removing from friction that serves a purpose, then turn the findings into concrete process changes.
Instrument processes so their health is measured rather than assumed, for example review turnaround time, rework rate, or how often work reaches build without a required decision.
Query data directly using SQL, dashboards, and APIs, and reconcile what Jira reports with what systems actually show.
Identify recurring manual work across engineering and automate it, using AI where it adds real value, then measure whether the automation delivered actual savings.
Build lasting assets such as playbooks, templates, runbooks, automated reporting, and agent workflows that keep working after each programme ends, and help colleagues adopt the AI practices that work.
Requirements:
Degree in STEM or other quantitative field.
Minimum 4 years of experience in technical programme management, engineering operations, or delivery management within a high-performance software engineering environment.
Proven track record of delivering cross-team technical programmes in a multi-team organisation.
Strong technical understanding of modern software systems, including services, deployments, queues, metrics, Kubernetes, Kafka, CI/CD, releases, and rollbacks.
Ability to read architecture diagrams, tech design documents, and ADRs, and judge whether they are ready for review.
Proficiency in SQL and comfort working with dashboards, APIs, and Jira.
Practical experience using AI tools to improve personal and team productivity.
Strong stakeholder management and facilitation skills, with the confidence to drive decisions where ownership is unclear.
Clear, concise written communication for senior audiences.
Strong ownership mentality: proactive, accountable, and execution-focused.
