TECHNICAL PRODUCT OWNER | CYBERSECURITY | 100% REMOTE | R1.2m PA

Technical Product Ownership meets Cybersecurity.

We’re looking for an experienced Technical Product Owner with a strong Business Analysis and Cybersecurity / Information Security background to take ownership of technical security products and drive them from requirements through to delivery.

This is not a generic Product Owner role.

You’ll need to understand technology, cybersecurity, product requirements and software delivery, while being confident working with clients, developers, architects, QA and security specialists.

If you can take a complex security requirement, break it down into clear product features and guide a technical team through delivery, this could be a strong fit.

What you’ll be doing:

• Own and manage technical cybersecurity products throughout the product lifecycle
• Translate complex security and business requirements into clear product features
• Define product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria and use cases
• Facilitate workshops with clients, stakeholders and technical teams
• Manage product priorities and maintain the product backlog
• Work closely with Development, QA, Architecture and Security teams
• Drive requirements through the SDLC and Agile delivery process
• Support product testing and quality assurance against requirements
• Review project outputs and ensure solutions meet agreed objectives
• Identify gaps, risks and opportunities for product improvement
• Manage stakeholder expectations across technical and business environments
• Contribute to product and technical decision-making

What we’re looking for:

• 4+ years’ Product Owner / Product Management experience
• 8+ years’ Business Analysis experience
• Strong Cybersecurity / Information Security experience
• Experience working with security, data protection, backup, endpoint or cyber resilience products
• Experience managing technical products and technology projects
• Strong requirements gathering and analysis experience
• Excellent knowledge of user stories, acceptance criteria and use case definition
• Strong workshop facilitation skills
• Solid understanding of the SDLC and Agile product development
• Ability to translate complex technical and security requirements into actionable product priorities
• Experience working closely with developers, QA, architects and security teams
• Knowledge of software testing methodologies
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

The ideal profile:

We’re looking for someone who sits comfortably between Product, Business Analysis, Technology and Cybersecurity.

You understand the business problem, can interrogate the technical requirements, understand the security implications and then give an engineering team clear direction on what needs to be delivered.

A background in Technical Business Analysis combined with Product Ownership and Cybersecurity would be highly relevant.
