Technical Project Manager (Back-End Development) | Part-Time | Remote
Our agency client is seeking a Technical Project Manager (Back-End Development) to lead the rebuild of a legacy application. This role is ideal for a technically strong project leader who can manage client relationships, drive project execution, and partner closely with developers throughout the project lifecycle.
Location: Fully Remote
Hours: 20 hours/week to start, ramping up to 25 hours/week
Responsibilities
- Lead a client-facing application modernization project
- Help define project requirements and develop a formal SOW
- Facilitate meetings, daily standups, and project planning
- Create, assign, and manage project tasks and priorities
- Coordinate between client stakeholders and internal development teams
- Proactively identify risks, remove blockers, and keep projects on track
Requirements
- Proven experience managing software development projects from planning through delivery
- Strong client-facing communication and stakeholder management skills - Must be able to speak to this
- Experience working with:
- TypeScript
- Node.js
- PHP
- MySQL
- Docker
- SSH
- Git
- Ability to work within React-based applications
- Highly organized, proactive, and comfortable leading technical discussions
- Full-stack development background
- Experience with application rebuilds, migrations, or modernization initiatives
