Technical Project Manager – GenAI & Data Delivery

We are seeking a seasoned Technical Project Manager to lead multi-team initiatives focused on Generative AI (GenAI) and advanced data solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong experience managing complex, AI-powered and data-driven projects, and will be responsible for driving delivery across multiple workstreams, ensuring alignment with business objectives, and managing stakeholder expectations

Base Compensation Range: 160,000 - 200,000

The posted range is the hiring range for this role — a subset of the broader range available to employees over time — and reflects base salary across our national hiring scale. Final offers are based on several factors, including the candidate's skills and experience, internal pay equity, work location, market conditions for the role, and the specific scope and responsibilities of the position. The top of the range is reserved for candidates who notably exceed the requirements; the lower end applies to those with less experience or fewer preferred qualifications. For positions based in higher-cost zones (e.g., California, New York, New Jersey), actual compensation may exceed the posted range; your recruiter will share specifics during the process.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning & Execution

• Develop and manage comprehensive project plans for GenAI and data-driven initiatives.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including data engineering, ML/AI engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders.
• Ensure timely delivery of project milestones, including model development, deployment, and integration.

GenAI & Use Case Delivery

• Drive end-to-end delivery of Generative AI use cases (e.g., LLM-powered applications, document intelligence, chatbots, summarization tools).
• Collaborate with technical teams on model selection, fine-tuning, prompt engineering, and evaluation frameworks.
• Ensure alignment between GenAI solutions and business value realization.

Requirement & Stream Management

• Gather, track, and manage requirements across multiple AI/data workstreams.
• Translate business needs into actionable technical requirements for AI/ML teams.
• Ensure traceability from requirements to deployment and business outcomes.

Stakeholder Engagement & Reporting

• Report directly to leadership (e.g., Data/AI Lead or Program Head) with regular updates.
• Act as the primary liaison between business teams, AI/ML teams, and external vendors/partners.
• Communicate project status, risks, dependencies, and AI-specific considerations (e.g., model performance, data readiness).

RAID & Risk Management

• Maintain and manage RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) logs.
• Identify and mitigate risks related to AI model performance, data quality, compliance, and ethical AI usage.
• Track budgets, forecast costs (including cloud/compute usage), and optimize resource allocation.

Governance & Compliance

• Ensure adherence to responsible AI practices, data privacy regulations, and model governance standards.
• Support implementation of AI lifecycle management (MLOps/LLMOps) frameworks.

Qualifications:

Experience

• 7+ years of project management experience, with exposure to AI/ML or data-driven initiatives.
• Proven experience managing GenAI, machine learning, or advanced analytics projects.
• Experience in industries such as insurance, financial services, or healthcare is a plus.

Skills

• Strong understanding of Generative AI concepts (LLMs, prompt engineering, embeddings, RAG, fine-tuning).
• Hands-on or working knowledge of leading GenAI platforms and tools such as:
  • Anthropic (Claude)
  • OpenAI (GPT models)
  • Google (Gemini / Vertex AI)
  • Microsoft (Azure OpenAI Service, Copilot)
  • Amazon Web Services (Bedrock)
• Familiarity with AI/ML development lifecycle, APIs, and cloud AI platforms.
• Proficiency in project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid).
• Hands-on experience with tools like Jira, MS Project, Rally, or similar.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.

Certifications (Preferred)

• PMP or equivalent project management certification.
• Certifications in AI/ML, Cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP), or Data Engineering are a plus

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
