Technical Project Manager – Infrastructure & Cloud
THE PMO SquadOur client, a national general contractor in the construction and engineering industry, is modernizing its enterprise content management and IT operations environment. This includes migrating off a legacy shared network drive to a governed cloud content platform, maturing configuration and asset management practices, and strengthening service desk and disaster recovery capabilities. We're looking for a technically fluent Project Manager to lead this portfolio of infrastructure and cloud initiatives from planning through execution. This role is remote-based but requires you to live near one of our client's office locations, with occasional travel expected. Key Responsibilities Own the project plan, schedule, resourcing, risk log, and status reporting across a multi-phase enterprise content and cloud migration program. Lead platform selection, architecture design, migration sequencing, and legacy system decommissioning. Coordinate cross-functional dependencies (Legal, Risk, Security, Infrastructure, Digital Workplace, Finance) and escalate blockers through governance forums. Lead build-out of configuration management database (CMDB) and asset management capabilities, including data model and ownership. Improve service desk intake, incident, and request management processes and connect them to accurate configuration data. Update disaster recovery plans and business impact analyses; establish a quarterly DR testing program. Maintain consistent monthly status reporting and present progress, risks, and decisions to technology governance forums. Manage the portfolio plan in a project portfolio management tool and drive stakeholder communications and change management. Required Qualifications 7+ years of IT project management experience, including infrastructure or cloud programs in an enterprise environment with 1,000+ users. Led at least one content, file storage, or data center migration end to end - sequencing, cutover, and decommissioning. Hands-on experience implementing IT service management and CMDB capabilities in Freshservice or an equivalent platform. Experience developing disaster recovery plans, business impact analyses, and recurring testing programs. Working knowledge of Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and cloud infrastructure concepts sufficient to lead technical teams and vendors. PMP or equivalent project management certification. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to report to executives and translate technical work into business terms. Nice-to-Have Qualifications ITIL 4 Foundation or higher. Experience in construction, engineering, or another field-based industry with distributed job sites and mobile workers. Prior SharePoint or document management platform migration experience, including migration tooling and permission remediation. Familiarity with Microsoft Purview, records management, and legal hold capabilities. Experience running programs through formal governance - steering committees, stage gates, executive reporting. Experience leading organizational change management for technology rollouts. Tools & Environment Microsoft 365 and SharePoint, Freshservice (ITSM/CMDB), a project portfolio management tool, and general cloud infrastructure platforms. Ideal Candidate Profile You're technically fluent enough to lead infrastructure, cloud, and IT service management work without needing a long ramp-up, and disciplined about governance and reporting. You're comfortable moving a distributed set of stakeholders - Legal, Risk, Security, Infrastructure, Finance - through decisions, and you operate well within formal governance structures like steering committees and stage gates without letting process slow you down. This position will require a pre-employment background check and drug test to be administered by the clients preferred partners.
