THE COMPANY
We are NEURAL EARTH. We bring clarity to physical risk, enabling leaders to engage with confidence and enact resilient, business-critical decisions. Today's environmental, economic, and infrastructure challenges are deeply interconnected, yet the data required to understand these relationships is scattered across siloed and aging systems. Neural Earth enables operational execution, delivering a single decision intelligence platform that unifies planetary, governmental, and asset-level data, always on and always learning. This is technical work that requires patience. It requires teams willing to operate at the intersection of AI research, geospatial science, distributed systems, and enterprise deployment. It is also incredibly rewarding. Join us at Neural Earth — the next frontier is here.
THE TEAM
Our Engineering team is a fully remote group of about a dozen engineers spanning backend, full stack, platform and site reliability, geospatial, and AI/ML. Together they build and run Prometheus, our decision intelligence platform, along with the data products and APIs that power it. The team works across Pacific and Eastern time zones, ships often, and does most of its coordination asynchronously in Slack and Linear. As we grow, engineers need a dedicated partner who keeps work visible, priorities clear, and delivery on track so they can stay focused on building. This role is that connective layer for the team.
THE ROLE
As our Technical Project Manager (TPM) II, you'll bring structure and rhythm to how Engineering plans, tracks, and delivers work. You'll run the team's weekly planning cadence, keep Linear as the single source of truth, surface blockers early, and give the whole team a clear daily read on progress. You'll also lead how we use AI in project management, building workflows, prompts, and skills that cut manual overhead and that the team can run on its own. You're the person engineers are glad to have on the team. You're organized without being bureaucratic, curious enough to understand how the system fits together, and always looking for a faster, smarter way to get the work done. This role reports to the Head of Engineering. This is you!
HOW YOU'LL BE SUCCESSFUL
Coordinate: Run the team's weekly planning and sync meetings during Pacific and Eastern overlap hours, turning product vision and priorities into clear, owned assignments every engineer understands.
Track: Keep Linear current every day so issue status, project states, and ownership reflect reality, and anyone can see where work stands without having to ask.
Unblock: Work asynchronously in Slack to clear dependencies, gather updates, and get direct answers from leadership when requirements or priorities are unclear, so work keeps moving.
Document: Publish a daily progress report to the full team in Slack, and build and maintain system architecture diagrams from engineering's input so progress and system design are always easy to see.
Automate: Build, document, and hand off AI workflows, prompts, and skills that reduce manual project management overhead and that the team can run independently.
WHY WE VALUE YOU
You've served as a Technical Project Manager or Scrum Master for software engineering teams and know how to keep a sprint honest.
You're fluent in Linear or a similar issue tracker and treat clean, accurate tracking as part of the job, not an afterthought.
You thrive in remote, async environments and write Slack updates people actually read.
You can take an engineer's verbal walkthrough and turn it into a clear, accurate architecture diagram, without needing a formal architecture background.
You already use AI tools to automate reporting, summaries, and tracking, and you can show us real examples.
You build AI workflows, prompts, and skills that others can pick up and run without you in the loop.
You're comfortable going straight to leadership with direct questions when priorities conflict or requirements are fuzzy.
You understand software delivery well enough to spot risks, dependencies, and scope creep before they hit a deadline.
You bring structure without bureaucracy and add process only where it helps the team ship.
You're energized by an early-stage company where the playbook is still being written and you get to help write it.
REQUIREMENTS
3 to 5 years of experience as a Technical Project Manager, Scrum Master, or in a similar delivery role supporting software engineering teams
Hands-on experience with Linear or a comparable issue tracker, plus Slack-first asynchronous collaboration
Availability for synchronous meetings during core overlap hours between Pacific and Eastern time zones
Ability to accommodate occasional travel as needed (~5%)
COMPENSATION
The salary range for this position is $110,000 to $124,000 annually, reflecting progression within the role based on demonstrated growth and impact.
