  • Convert competitive accounts, meet individual sales and revenue targets, and manage and grow existing accounts through regular visits and strong customer relationships.
  • Recommend chemical solutions, assist with product selection and applications, coordinate product trials, and support troubleshooting and process improvements.
  • Serve customers in plating, anodizing, metal finishing, aerospace, automotive, electronics, and industrial OEM markets.
  • Collaborate with leadership, purchasing, customer service, technical support, logistics, and manufacturing teams to ensure service and product availability.
  • Manage regional travel, maintain CRM records and sales forecasts, prepare quotations, negotiate pricing, and monitor competitors and industry trends.
  • Provide technical guidance on product applications, assist customers with process optimization, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of product formulations, safety data, regulatory considerations, and market dynamics relevant to surface and metal finishing.
  • Represent the company with professionalism and integrity, building long-term trust with customers and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3–5 years of outside sales experience with established customer relationships.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills; technical aptitude with a aptitude for chemical products.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel regularly throughout the assigned territory.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Strong plus: experience selling metal finishing chemicals, direct exposure to surface or metal finishing processes, and an existing customer book in the industry.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience with aerospace, automotive, electronics, or industrial manufacturers; wastewater treatment; plating processes; or working for a chemical distributor.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a serious pipeline, close complex deals, and leverage technical knowledge to win new business.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Base salary $100,000–$125,000 USD plus commission; competitive compensation package with significant earning potential.
  • Opportunity to work with an established, growing global chemical distributor and leading manufacturers; autonomy and flexibility in a field-based role.
  • Comprehensive benefits package (health, dental, vision, 401(k)).
  • Professional development and ongoing training opportunities.
