## About the Role
Siemens eMobility Charging is seeking an Electrical Technical Support Engineer to provide advanced technical support for complex EV charging issues. As the highest level of technical support, you will connect customers, field teams, and engineering teams to resolve technical challenges and improve product reliability.
The role involves remote troubleshooting, root cause analysis, technical escalations, charger interoperability, product performance monitoring, and collaboration with quality and R&D teams. Occasional international travel to customer sites may also be required.
## Key Responsibilities
* Provide advanced remote technical support and root cause analysis for EV charging systems.
* Manage and resolve technical escalations from the Customer Contact Center.
* Support interoperability between EV chargers, vehicles, and backend systems.
* Monitor product performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
* Collaborate with Product Champions, Quality, and R&D teams to resolve recurring issues.
* Support product enhancements and reliability improvements.
* Maintain accurate technical case documentation and knowledge resources.
* Coach frontline support teams to improve first-contact resolution.
* Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality requirements, and operational procedures.
* Contribute to KPIs, including Mean Time to Resolution (MTTR) and customer-specific SLA targets.
* Travel occasionally to customer sites, including internationally, when expert technical support is required.
## Required Qualifications
* Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
* Knowledge of electrical engineering, electronics, IT, energy systems, or communication technologies.
* Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
* Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users.
* Willingness to participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
* Fluent English.
## Preferred Qualifications
* Experience in a customer-facing technical support environment.
* Knowledge of EV charging technologies and protocols such as Type 2, CCS, and OCPP.
* Experience with CRM or ticketing systems.
* Native-level Dutch or German language skills.
