THE DIFFERENCE YOU MAKE
Santander Digital Services is looking for a Technical Analyst / Developer to join the CIO Enterprise Services Treasury technology team, based in London.
This is a development-focused role within a specialist Treasury technology environment. You’ll build on your technical, business and delivery knowledge while supporting critical applications and services, contributing to technology change and helping modernise the Treasury estate. The role offers broad exposure across the Software Delivery Lifecycle, with opportunities to learn from experienced colleagues and develop into a versatile Technical Analyst / Developer.
We’re shaping the way we work through innovation, cutting-edge technology, collaboration and the freedom to explore new ideas. To succeed in this role, you will be responsible for:
- A working knowledge and understanding of GenAI tools, including Copilot and the Devin in-house framework.
- Support, maintain and enhance applications and services across the Treasury technology domain.
- Contribute to both business-as-usual activity and technology change across the full Software Delivery Lifecycle, working collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders within and outside the CIO, supporting knowledge transfer and effective delivery.
- Develop and implement solutions using modern engineering standards, controls and best practices.
- Build knowledge of Treasury applications, technologies, business processes and the wider technology estate.
- Contribute to the controlled modernisation, migration or retirement of legacy applications and services.
- Explore AI and other emerging technologies, applying them appropriately and responsibly where they can add value.

Professional Experience
- Experience working in, or demonstrable exposure to, a technology delivery or application support environment.
- Evidence of learning quickly, taking ownership and contributing effectively within a collaborative team. (Required)
- Exposure to financial services, Treasury technology or complex enterprise applications. (Preferred)
Education
- Currently undertaking, or eligible to continue, a relevant technology apprenticeship or structured development programme. (Required)
- A great commitment to continued technical and professional development. (Required)
- Relevant technical qualifications or certifications. (Preferred)
Languages
- No additional language requirement specified. (Required)
- Knowledge of Spanish could be useful but not required. (Preferred)
Hard Skills
- Foundational software development, scripting, application support or technical analysis skills, with the ability to develop capability across a broad technology stack. (Required)
- Knowledge and demonstrable experience of successful delivery of technical solutions, including database and front-end development, using Oracle, Angular and AI development tools (Required)
- Understanding of software engineering practices, change controls and the Software Delivery Lifecycle. (Required)
- Awareness of AI, automation or other emerging technologies and an interest in their responsible application. (Preferred)
Soft Skills
- Great communication and stakeholder skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across technical and business teams. (Required)
- Curiosity, enthusiasm and a proactive approach to learning and problem solving. (Required)

Salary Range:
£48,520.00 - £72,780.00 per annum (depending on experience)
This salary range represents the expected remuneration for the role. Annual salary is based on a standard 35-hour working week. Actual salary offered will depend on skills, experience, qualifications and location.
