This is a fully remote position with choice between a 4/10 schedule (Mon-Thurs) or a 9/80 schedule (every other Friday off). NOTE: employee will initially train on site until independent enough to work remotely effectively.

BAE Systems is looking for a Technical Writer to support F-35 manufacturing by working closely with process engineering and other production teams. This role mainly consists of the creation and updates of process work instructions that the manufacturing team uses to build, inspect, and test electronics. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail and must work well with others in a team environment. They must have the ability to learn how to use new computer software as the bulk of tasks for this role are completed in BAE’s own homegrown manufacturing execution system. These manufacturing instructions contain technical writing, engineering drawings, parts lists, and pictures/diagrams to explain how processes are executed or how equipment is operated.


Required Education, Experience, & Skills

• Atleast 1 year of technical writing or similar work experience OR a Bachelor's degree.
• Good communications skills, both written and verbal. The ability to work well in a team environment is also critical to this role.
• Familiarity with various document editing software packages such as Microsoft Office, Adobe, Autocad, SharePoint, etc. is critical to this roll.
• Good organizational skills, and the ability to drive multiple tasks concurrently is needed to be successful.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

• Experience in writing detailed work instructions and procedures is preferred.
• Demonstrated communications skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to achieve verbatim compliance through executing process change requests from the process engineering team.

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $40003 - $64006

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
