Come and join our Professional Services team based in Ireland (office-based or virtual is possible) with your commitment as a Technology & Innovation Programme Lead YOUR IMPACT You will lead the innovation engine behind OpenText Galway’s engineering and AI-focused R&D organization. You will own externally funded research programmes, R&D funding initiatives, tax credit activities, and strategic partner relationships, working across engineering, data science, universities, industry collaborators, funding agencies, and strategic customers. You will drive the conversion of research ideas into funded projects, delivered outcomes, and tangible customer value while representing OpenText within Ireland’s innovation and research ecosystem. WHAT THE ROLE OFFERS Lead grant-funded R&D programmes from proposal through delivery. Own strategic research submissions and partner relationships end-to-end. Shape future innovation opportunities for the Galway R&D organization. Develop competitive funding applications and feasibility studies. Drive R&D tax credit reporting and compliance activities. Collaborate with universities, industry partners, and funding agencies. Support technical pre-sales, scoping, and opportunity qualification. WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED Proven ability to lead collaborative research and innovation programmes. Strong IT Background and Software Development Experience Experience developing technical narratives and compliance-grade reporting. Proven ability to engage credibly with engineering and data science teams. Strong stakeholder management across academic, industry, and agency partners. Track record of evaluating opportunities with sound commercial judgement and of securing grant funding and research investments. Proven ability to influence executive stakeholders and negotiate effectively.
