Role Purpose

The Onboarding Project Manager will lead the planning, coordination and controlled delivery of EUSL’s
onboarding to Group technology services and operating arrangements. Acting as the primary local delivery
interface between EUSL and stakeholders across ERGO and Munich Re Group, the role will translate Group
onboarding requirements into an executable local plan with clear milestones, priorities, decision points and
accountable owners.

The role will coordinate EUSL business, IT and enabling functions throughout delivery; maintain the local plan,
RAID, dependencies, decisions, resources and evidence; and ensure timely inputs across all workstreams. It
will provide concise executive reporting directly to the Head of IT and Operations and escalate material risks,
issues, costs, constraints and decisions without delay through the appropriate EUSL and Group governance
routes.

Working closely with the Lead of IT Delivery and Strategy, the Project Manager will integrate the onboarding
activity into the wider EUSL delivery roadmap and manage dependencies, sequencing and resource conflicts.

They will not replace accountable owners but will provide hands-on coordination where SME capacity is
constrained, personally close documentation gaps, and lead business readiness through testing, migration,
communications, training, hypercare and operational acceptance.

People Leadership and Matrix Working

The role has no direct line management responsibility but carries significant matrix leadership accountability.
The postholder will lead cross-functional delivery teams, influence senior stakeholders across EUSL, ERGO
and Munich Re Group, and establish clear ownership and accountability across workstreams. They will be
expected to challenge constructively, secure timely decisions and maintain delivery momentum where
resources remain functionally managed within existing teams.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Own the EUSL onboarding plan, scope, milestones, actions, dependencies, resources, readiness and
acceptance criteria, aligned to the Group plan and wider EUSL delivery roadmap.
• Lead local discovery, remediation, implementation, migration, transition and closure, acting as the primary
EUSL interface to the relevant Group onboarding teams and workstreams.
• Maintain governance, RAID, decision and change controls, with clear ownership, deadlines and timely
escalation.
• Mobilise business owners, IT teams, SMEs, workstream leads and sponsors; coordinate requirements,
evidence, testing, approvals and decisions.
• Track SME capacity, costs, procurement, contracts and vendor dependencies, escalating conflicts with
clear impacts, options and decisions required.
• Provide concise, decision-focused executive reporting directly to the Head of IT and Operations, covering
progress, risks, dependencies, resources, costs and decisions; escalate urgent or material matters without
delay.
• Identify documentation gaps and personally draft, maintain and quality-assure the programme, technical,
operational, governance, testing, transition and BAU artefacts required for delivery.
• Lead workshops and EUSL readiness, including validation, UAT, migration waves, device rollout,
communications, training, support and hypercare.
• Secure operational acceptance, complete BAU handover, track residual actions and capture lessons
learned.

Key Deliverables and Success Measures

• EUSL obligations, decisions, evidence and inputs are delivered on time and aligned to the Group plan and
EUSL roadmap.
• Owners and SMEs are mobilised, with capacity, cost, risk and dependency issues managed and escalated
early.
• The Head of IT and Operations receives clear, timely reporting and material matters are escalated early
enough to enable intervention.
• Complete, controlled and audit-ready documentation is available when needed for delivery, assurance,
transition and BAU.
• Business and users are ready for migration and cutover, with effective communications, training, support
and hypercare.
• Operational acceptance and BAU handover are completed, with residual actions owned and lessons
learned captured.

Stakeholder Relationships

• Head of IT and Operations, Lead of IT Delivery and Strategy, and EUSL executive sponsors.
• IT Services, Development & Architecture, Information Security, Operations and PMO colleagues.
• Risk & Compliance, Finance, HR and impacted business functions.
• ERGO and Munich Re Group programme, shared service, security, infrastructure and operational
stakeholders.
• Third-party suppliers and specialist delivery partners where relevant

Conduct Requirements

• You must act with integrity.
• You must act with due care, skill and diligence.
• You must be open and cooperative with the FCA and other regulators.
• You must pay due regard to the interests of customers and treat them fairly.
• You must observe proper standards of market conduct.
• The company will be required to report to the FCA any disciplinary action taken in relation to a breach of
these rules.
• The company requires you to complete all training assigned to you and in accordance with allocated
deadlines

Skills and Competencies

• Transformation delivery – Leads complex, cross-functional technology and operating-model change from
discovery to transition.
• Governance and judgement – Maintains strong planning, RAID, financial, resource and change controls,
distinguishing material issues from routine delivery noise.
• Matrix leadership – Influences executives and Group stakeholders, creates clear ownership and sustains

• Communication – Translates business, technical and regulatory requirements into clear actions, decisions
and executive reporting.
• Documentation – Independently produces high-quality programme, technical, operational and governance
artefacts with limited SME input.
• Risk and control – Maintains evidence, traceability and proportionate escalation within a regulated
environment.
• Delivery discipline – Manages competing priorities, resolves problems pragmatically and balances pace
with control.

Experience and Qualifications

Essential
• Proven delivery of complex IT onboarding, migration, integration or transformation programmes within a
regulated environment.
• Strong planning, RAID, dependency, readiness and stakeholder governance, with evidence of resolving
blockers and driving decisions.
• Experience coordinating business owners, IT teams, SMEs, service owners, vendors and external
partners in a matrix environment.
• Excellent written, communication and facilitation skills, including business readiness, service transition and
operational handover.

Desirable
• Recognised project management qualification such as PRINCE2 Practitioner, MSP, APM, PMP, AgilePM

onboarding or regulated insurance delivery.
• Experience of Group-led transformation, enterprise shared services or multinational matrix organisations.
• Knowledge of cloud, infrastructure, cybersecurity, identity, applications, workplace technology, operational
resilience, DORA, outsourcing or third-party risk expectations

Information Security Responsibilities

• Ensure onboarding delivery adheres to applicable information security policies, standards, procedures and
Group requirements.
• Ensure security, privacy, operational resilience, risk and control requirements are identified early, included
in plans and supported by appropriate evidence and approvals.
• Identify, track and escalate security risks, incidents, control gaps, supplier concerns or delivery decisions
with material security implications.
• Protect confidential information and ensure project documentation is created, shared, retained and
disposed of in line with company requirements.
• Complete required security training and support secure-by-design delivery practices across
the programme
