Job Title: Technology & Product Adviser (Volunteer role)

2Gether Travels is exploring opportunities to use technology to strengthen its customer experience, internal processes and delivery of travel services. We are seeking a volunteer who can provide independent technology and product advice during the early planning stage of this initiative.
The ability to translate business needs into practical technology options is essential. Hands-on software development, prototyping or systems-integration capability would be a strong advantage. Detailed project information will be shared with shortlisted or selected candidates subject to appropriate confidentiality arrangements.
Key Responsibilities
· Research and evaluate technology solutions relevant to the company’s future development.
· Help management clarify business needs, user requirements and priorities.
· Provide independent advice on practical technology approaches and implementation options.
· Contribute to early-stage product planning and a high-level technology roadmap.
· Identify general implementation, data-protection, cybersecurity and supplier considerations.
· Support management in preparing questions for prospective technology providers or development partners.
· Contribute to a prototype concept or proof of concept.
· Review technical proposals or early development work and provide constructive feedback.
· The volunteer will also be responsible for routine helpdesk support, ongoing website maintenance or the operation and support of production systems.
Skills & Experience
Essential or highly desirable
· Experience or developing expertise in technology consulting, product management, business analysis, solution design or a related field.
· Ability to understand business requirements and explain technology options clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
· Strong research, analytical, documentation and communication skills.
· Sound judgement when handling confidential or commercially sensitive information.
Preferred advantage
· Hands-on experience developing web or mobile applications, APIs, integrations, databases or cloud-based solutions.
· Experience creating prototypes, proofs of concept or minimum viable products.
· Knowledge of cybersecurity, data protection or privacy-by-design.
· Experience in travel, tourism, e-commerce or another service-based industry.
