We are looking for an experienced Technology Risk Coordinator with strong hands-on knowledge of cybersecurity, vulnerability assessment, penetration testing, cloud security, application security, and security monitoring.
About the Role
The Technology Risk Coordinator will help identify, assess, monitor, and reduce cybersecurity and technology risks across our applications, infrastructure, cloud environments, and internal systems.
You will work closely with developers, DevOps engineers, cloud teams, QA engineers, and management to identify vulnerabilities and implement appropriate security controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and assess cybersecurity and technology risks across applications and infrastructure.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and coordinate remediation activities.
- Perform and support Vulnerability Assessment & Penetration Testing (VAPT).
- Assess web applications, APIs, servers, and cloud environments for security weaknesses.
- Monitor security logs, alerts, and systems for suspicious activities.
- Investigate and document potential security incidents.
- Review IAM permissions, user access, security groups, firewall rules, and access controls.
- Support security assessments across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Identify vulnerabilities based on OWASP Top 10 and common security standards.
- Work with development teams to remediate application security vulnerabilities.
- Support security controls within CI/CD and DevOps workflows.
- Perform basic security hardening of Linux servers and cloud infrastructure.
- Maintain technology risk registers and track remediation activities.
- Prepare security assessment, vulnerability, and risk reports.
- Support security policies, procedures, and compliance documentation.
- Stay updated with emerging cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and best practices.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Technology Risk, SOC, IT Security, or a related field.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or Software Engineering.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles.
- Knowledge of network, application, cloud, and infrastructure security.
- Understanding of OWASP Top 10.
- Practical knowledge of vulnerability assessment and penetration-testing methodologies.
- Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP security.
- Understanding of Linux, TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, firewalls, SSL/TLS, and IAM.
- Experience with security documentation and risk reporting.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Good written and verbal English communication.
Preferred Technical Skills
Experience with the following is an advantage:
- Burp Suite
- Nmap
- Wireshark
- Nessus / OpenVAS
- Metasploit
- SIEM platforms
- AWS GuardDuty / Security Hub / CloudTrail
- Microsoft Defender for Cloud
- Web Application Firewall (WAF)
- Docker & Kubernetes security
- Git and CI/CD security
- Python or Bash scripting
Knowledge of DevSecOps, API security, ISO 27001, NIST, SOC 2, cloud security, incident response, and security hardening is highly desirable.
