Technology Specialist (Helsinki, Tampere, Jyväskylä, Turku, Pori, Oulu)

We are looking for a Technology Specialist

to maintain, operate and develop business-critical systems in a demanding security environment.

Your role

In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation, maintenance and development of Linux-based platforms and related infrastructure. Your work will span virtualization, storage, networking, monitoring and certificate services, and you will contribute to keeping secure environments reliable, controlled and up to date.

• Operate, maintain and develop Red Hat Linux environments and related management platforms
• Automate operational work with Ansible and support the continuous improvement of tools and ways of working
• Operate virtualization and infrastructure solutions based on Nutanix and Broadcom VMware technologies
• Support and develop Certificate Authority services, including the use of the ACME protocol for certificate issuance and consumption
• Work with storage systems, data communications networks, monitoring tools such as Zabbix and, where relevant, Splunk
• Use and develop container-based environments with technologies such as Kubernetes and Podman
• Carry out installation, maintenance and other operational tasks at data centre facilities
• Use AI tools purposefully to improve the quality and efficiency of your work
  
  

Your home office can be in Helsinki, Tampere, Turku, Jyväskylä, Pori or Oulu. We work in a hybrid model, combining remote work with regular collaboration at Elisa offices. The role also requires readiness to travel to facilities in Southern and Western Finland when operational work calls for an on-site presence.

What We Expect From You

• Strong hands-on experience with Red Hat Linux operations and related management environments, such as Red Hat Satellite, Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform or AWX
• Excellent Ansible skills and the ability to apply automation in practical operational work
• Solid experience operating virtualization technologies; experience with Nutanix and Broadcom VMware products is particularly relevant
• Basic understanding of data communications technologies, storage and infrastructure dependencies
• Interest and readiness to develop into a Certificate Authority specialist, together with an understanding of the ACME protocol
• A proactive approach to learning, problem solving and adopting AI as part of your daily work
• Good collaboration and communication skills in an environment where reliability and information security are essential
• Professional working proficiency in English; Finnish language skills are considered an advantage
  
  

We consider it an advantage if you have

• An RHCSA or RHCE certification, or equivalent demonstrable Red Hat expertise
• Experience with Oracle Database products
• Working knowledge of Splunk
• Experience with Zabbix, Kubernetes or Podman
• Familiarity with ITIL processes
