Job Description This is a remote position. Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our team as a Locum Tenens provider. Responsibilities Evaluate and diagnose patients with mental health disorders, including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including medication management and psychotherapy Conduct routine check-ups, monitor patient progress, and adjust treatment plans as needed Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, therapists, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive care Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as lab work and imaging studies Prescribe and manage medications, including psychotropic medications and controlled substances Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including progress notes and treatment plans Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care and develop treatment plans Stay current with the latest research, guidelines, and best practices in psychiatric-mental health nursing Requirements Requirements: Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) with a focus on Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing Current licensures as a Registered Nurse (RN) and Nurse Practitioner (NP) in the state of practice Current certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) Minimum 2 years of experience as a PMHNP in an inpatient or outpatient setting Strong assessment and diagnostic skills, with the ability to evaluate patients with complex mental health needs Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of autonomy and independence Strong knowledge of psychiatric-mental health nursing principles, including psychopharmacology and psychotherapy Ability to maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including progress notes and treatment plans Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to make sound clinical decisions Ability to work effectively in a team environment, with a focus on collaboration and communication
