We provide secure, high-quality language solutions in 80+ spoken and signed languages for USCIS and other federal agencies. We are seeking Telugu Over-the-Phone Interpreters (OPI) to support our USCIS contract. Telugu is a major South Indian Dravidian language, spoken widely in India and among diaspora communities, and is often required in immigration and asylum interviews. Responsibilities Provide real-time Telugu ↔ English telephonic interpretation for USCIS interviews, hearings, and official proceedings. Deliver interpretation with accuracy, neutrality, and professionalism. Maintain strict confidentiality and comply with USCIS/DHS interpreter standards. Handle both scheduled and urgent/surge assignments. Participate in training, compliance refreshers, and quality assurance audits. Qualifications Native or near-native fluency in Telugu and English. 2+ years of professional interpreting experience (immigration, community, legal, healthcare, or government preferred). Knowledge of interpreter ethics, confidentiality, and cultural awareness. Excellent telephone communication skills; ability to remain accurate under pressure. Must be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident eligible for Tier 3/Tier 5 clearance. Compensation & Benefits Competitive pay: $25–30/hour (rare-language premium available).
