The salary range for this temp position is $39.38 - $46.15 per hour. Offered salary is dependent upon experience and San Francisco location. This is a hybrid role based in our downtown San Francisco office – Tues through Thursday in-office, with Monday and Friday remote.

SUMMARY

The temp associate designer plays a pivotal role in bringing print and in-store collateral to life. As a part of the Emerging Brands global creative team, the Designer is fully aware of all campaigns as they develop, and thus able to translate them into communications across channels and regions. Key responsibilities include designing in-store graphics, creating influencer materials, adapting files for regional needs, preparing VM mechanicals as needed, cropping campaign imagery and preparing files for release. The focus is on creative work that is technically precise from start to finish.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design and execute creative projects, including retail graphics, in-store signage, campaign support assets, presentations, influencer mailers and marketing collateral.
  • Produce and release VM mechanicals as needed, ensuring all deliverables meet brand, vendor and regional requirements.
  • Partner with Creative, VM and Marketing teams to develop and execute compelling brand assets across retail and print channels.
  • Present projects to cross-functional partners, clearly communicating creative strategy, production considerations and timeline impacts.
  • Collaborate with VM and Marketing teams to refine layouts and mechanicals for accuracy.
  • Adapt global creative concepts for local markets, maintaining brand consistency while addressing regional specifications and production constraints.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and production partners to ensure projects move efficiently from concept through final delivery.
  • Prepare, package, and quality-check final artwork files for print and fabrication, with a strong understanding of color management, material specifications and best practices.
  • Help establish and improve workflows, templates and production standards that increase efficiency and consistency across teams and regions.
  • Stay current on design trends, retail experiences, print production techniques and emerging tools to continually elevate both creative and production output.
  • Batch process cropping and resizing of full-res images into various sizes for use in print and digital assets.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 2+ years of design experience, ideally in a brand or agency production environment
  • Highly detail-oriented—catches errors others miss, takes production accuracy seriously
  • Organized and systematic—keeps files clean, named correctly, and easy for others to find and use
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite—particularly Illustrator and InDesign for print and VM production
  • Curious about design tools and systems—interested in growing into a broader design role over time
  • Uses AI to find efficiencies in the design process; open to learning more and growing in use of AI
