Job Title: Temporary Executive Office Coordinator Employee Type: Temporary, Full-Time Reports To: Deputy Chief of Staff Department: Executive Office Entity: NDWA Hours per Week: 40hr per wk Salary: $60,000 (annualized prorated salary) Work Location: Remote, some required travel Start Date: Sept. 15 until Dec. 1 BACKGROUND: The National Domestic Workers Alliance (NDWA) is the leading national voice for dignity, respect, and recognition for domestic workers in the United States. NDWA was founded in 2007 by organizers and worker leaders in six cities representing nannies, house cleaners, and care workers, and now represents an alliance of more than 60 organizations across 22 states and 395,000 domestic workers nationally. We envision a society where domestic work is valued as essential to our collective well-being, domestic workers are leaders in shaping the care sector, and domestic work jobs are good, economically secure jobs. For nearly 20 years, we’ve worked to advance our mission by making domestic work visible. We’ve worked to pass policies that enable rights and higher wages for domestic workers across the country, changed public awareness and opinion about the dignity and value of care work, and built the capacity and leadership of domestic workers to organize and advocate for their rights. POSITION SUMMARY: NDWA seeks an experienced, organized, and inquisitive Coordinator to provide programmatic, administrative, and logistical support for the President and Executive Director. The Coordinator will work closely with the Manager of the Board Relations & Special Projects and the Special Advisor to the President to support the Executive Director and President in achieving their goals and objectives. The Coordinator will serve as the lead administrative support for the executive office, coordinating directly with other members of leadership and external partners, serving as the owner of all executive travel, and ensuring the director's effective and efficient use of time. Primary Roles & Responsibilities: Manage the Executive Director’s and President’s calendar and scheduling, including prioritizing time and resolving conflicts in coordination with the Manager of Board Relations & Special Projects & Special Advisor to the President Coordinate meeting and event preparation for the ED, including gathering briefing materials and staff input ahead of engagements Manage the Executive Director's and President’s daily email correspondence, including flagging priority threads and drafting initial responses Process contracts on behalf of the Executive Office Manage receipts, reimbursements, and expense reporting for the ED Coordinate all travel logistics and itineraries for the Executive Director and President Attend meetings to record notes as requested and support the Executive Director and President with follow up Maintain digital security protocols for the Executive Office Maintain the Executive Director's contact and outreach spreadsheets Field, assess, and respond to requests and inquiries from the public and from staff Qualifications Expertise, skill, and interest in administrative work, including office operations, travel management, expense reporting Hill experience, specifically as a scheduler, is a plus Skilled proficiency in Google Suite, including Google Calendar, Google Docs, and Google Sheets Excellent attention to detail and highly organized Excellent verbal and written communication skills Experience managing multiple projects and tasks with strong time management Self motivated with a proven ability to work independently and in partnership with a highly motivated team Agreement and alignment with NDWA's vision and values The ability to travel domestically to directly support the Executive Director and President Bilingual (Spanish preferred) is a plus, but not required How to Apply: Please apply directly to the job posting by sharing your resume.
