Territory Account Manager – Tissue Diagnostics

Location: Field-based / Hybrid (Ideal base: Wales, Stoke, or Coventry area)

Contract Duration: 12 Months

Hours: Full Time (37.5 hours per week)


Are you an experienced sales professional or a biomedical science specialist with strong cellular pathology knowledge looking for your next commercial challenge?


We are currently recruiting for a Territory Account Manager to cover the West Midlands and Wales region for a global leader in diagnostic solutions. This is a field-based, hybrid role focusing on strategic account management, NHS procurement, and driving commercial growth across key healthcare accounts.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic account sales plans to secure large-scale contracts across the West Midlands and Wales territory.
  • Lead complex healthcare sales cycles, navigating NHS pathology procurements and formal tender processes.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional specialist teams (including IT Specialists, Managed Service teams, and Product Specialists) to deliver tailored solutions.
  • Utilise digital sales tools, CRM platforms, and data analytics to drive commercial excellence and overcome adoption barriers.
  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of cellular pathology workflows and clinical cancer pathways to engage confidently with key clinical and commercial stakeholders.


Candidate Requirements


Mandatory Requirements:

  • Education & Expertise: BSc degree in Life Sciences (or equivalent practical experience, such as a Biomedical Scientist background).
  • Clinical Domain Knowledge: A solid understanding of Cellular Pathology and Cancer Pathways.
  • Mobility: Full flexibility and willingness to travel across the designated territory (Wales, West Midlands, Stoke, Coventry).


Desirable Qualifications:

  • Direct hands-on experience working within a Cellular Pathology laboratory.
  • Familiarity with Tissue Diagnostics platforms and solutions (or direct market competitors).
  • Proven track record of managing a sales territory within the West Midlands or Wales region.
  • Hands-on experience navigating NHS pathology procurements, tenders, and managed service frameworks.
  • Proven ability to execute account strategies involving multi-disciplinary commercial and technical teams.
