Key Responsibilities
- Execute manual testing for software and mobile applications.
- Develop, maintain, and execute comprehensive test cases and test scenarios.
- Identify, document, and track defects through resolution.
- Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and Agile teams.
- Learn new products quickly and become a subject matter expert on functionality and user experience.
- Ensure releases meet quality standards and business requirements.
- Support API testing efforts and validate integrations between systems.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives.
Required Experience
- 5+ years of Quality Assurance experience
- Strong background in software and mobile application testing
- Experience creating and maintaining detailed test cases and test plans
- Familiarity with API testing methodologies and tools
- Experience working within Agile development environments
Ideal Candidate Profile
- The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can work independently while remaining highly organized and detail-oriented. They should possess strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, demonstrate excellent attention to detail, and have the ability to quickly learn new products and technologies. Success in this role requires someone who thrives in a collaborative Agile environment while maintaining a structured approach to quality assurance.
- Develop manual test cases to increase regression coverage as well as new functionality testing
- Execute manual test cases including ad-hoc and exploratory testing as needed
- Document and/or review testing results working closely with Developers and Business Analysts to resolve reported issues
- Develop and create testing data needed to execute manual test cases
- Perform software configurations and deployments to manage your testing system for successful testing results
- Manage testing to project timelines
- Participate in the Agile project flow providing feedback in all areas, paying close attention to high risk areas and communicating testing concerns
- Ensure High Quality in all deliverables: software, hardware, test cases, bug cases, and documented results
- Become a subject matter expert on existing and new features ensuring you can fully test, review logs for troubleshooting and create new and update existing test cases
- Analyze existing features and test cases and consider areas where new test cases should be created or existing cases modified to have a better coverage of the feature

- Two+ years of experience testing web-based software applications
- Experience using SQL to extract, modify and add data to SQL Server databases
- Knowledge and application of structured testing concepts, methodologies, and tools
- Solid understanding of the SDLC and Agile software development methodology
- Creative, detail-oriented and a problem solver
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Self-motivated and driven; takes ownership of personal and team goals
- Able to excel with limited supervision in a rapidly changing environment under aggressive
- timelines
- Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred skills/experience:
- One year of experience using automation tools (Selenium ideal) and techniques for user
- interface automation and also tools similar to Fiddler or Postman, for web services testing.
- Knowledge of hardware devices such as card processing devices, access control locks, mobile devices, POS (Point of Sale) terminals, etc.
- Experience with applications that use near-field communication (NFC)
- Electrical/wiring experience
- Experience using JIRA for Agile development & reporting of bugs
- Experience using TestRail for the writing, organization & completion of test cases.
Education
- BS or BA degree. Preferred Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience
