About the Role: Our client is currently seeking a Test Analyst (Functional Automation Tester) to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering manual and automated testing activities to support the agency's digital transformation initiatives. You will join an in flight portal project program, myAMSA, which delivers a digital first approach to maritime regulation, improves customer experience, and streamlines business processes. Working within the Testing Practice, your primary focus will be on testing Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform applications, including Power Pages, Power Apps, and Dataverse-based solutions, ensuring the quality, reliability, and usability of the final business solutions.

Working within the Testing Practice, your primary focus will be on testing Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform applications, including Power Pages, Power Apps, and Dataverse-based solutions, ensuring the quality, reliability, and usability of the final business solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive manual and automated testing activities across multiple concurrent projects and competing priorities.
- Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated regression tests spanning both UI and API/integration layers.
- Integrate automated tests to run as part of the agency's CI/CD delivery pipelines rather than purely on demand.
- Quickly understand new business processes, applications, and technologies to effectively validate end to end business solutions.
- Work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate effectively within a high-performing, multidisciplinary agile testing team.
- Adapt flexibly, moving between projects, technologies, testing phases, and business domains as organisational priorities shift.
- Demonstrated experience testing Microsoft Dynamics 365 and/or Power Platform applications (Power Pages, Power Apps, Dataverse), including requirements analysis, test scenario design, and defect management.
- Strong experience performing UI, functional, integration, system, regression, and user acceptance testing across web-based and enterprise applications.
- Extensive test automation experience for UI regression (using Playwright, Selenium, EasyRepro, or similar) and API/integration (using Postman/Newman, REST Assured, or Playwright).
- Demonstrated experience integrating automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps).
- Proficiency with Visual Studio Code (VS Code), Azure DevOps, source control, and modern test/defect management practices.
- Solid understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) principles and Agile delivery methodologies.
- ISTQB Automation Certification or similar certification.
- Experience testing or supporting Microsoft Dynamics 365, Dataverse, Power Platform, and Power BI solutions in depth (e.g., server-side/plugin logic, environment variable and secret configuration, API Management policy validation).
- Experience using Jira or similar tools for test management and defect management, alongside Azure DevOps.
- Must be able to obtain a Baseline Security Clearance (Australian Citizenship required).
- Ability to provide a one-page pitch (maximum 5000 characters) addressing all specified criteria.
