About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Test Development Engineer to join an innovative software engineering team developing high-quality, scalable applications.

You will play a key role in designing, developing and maintaining automated testing frameworks, with a particular focus on Playwright, ensuring software quality, reliability and performance throughout the development lifecycle.

Your Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain automated test frameworks using Playwright.
• Create and execute automated end-to-end (E2E), integration, regression and functional tests.
• Develop automated test scripts using TypeScript or JavaScript.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
• Analyse test results, identify defects and collaborate with developers to resolve issues.
• Improve test coverage, execution speed and overall testing efficiency.
• Perform API testing and validate frontend/backend integrations.
• Collaborate with software developers, QA engineers and DevOps teams in an Agile environment.
• Contribute to test strategies, test documentation and continuous quality improvement.

Your Profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a comparable technical qualification.
• Professional experience in software testing, test development or QA automation.
• Hands-on experience with Playwright for automated web application testing.
• Strong programming skills in TypeScript and/or JavaScript.
• Experience with test automation frameworks and tools such as Selenium, Cypress or similar.
• Knowledge of REST API testing and tools such as Postman.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI or GitHub Actions.
• Familiarity with Git, Jira and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills in English; German language skills are advantageous.
