Tieto Tech Consulting works as a true partner, solving customers’ toughest technology challenges and delivering reliable outcomes that drive measurable results. By merging data, cloud, AI and design with deep industry expertise, we create impactful yet intuitive digital solutions that empower people and move businesses forward.
With a global team of 8,000 colleagues and a team of 300 colleagues in DACH, we are constantly striving to develop and grow. Our customers trust in our solutions, which is why we are continuously looking for new talents.
In this role, you will contribute across the testing lifecycle, from hands-on exploratory and manual testing to automation, API testing and CI/CD integration. You will work with colleagues across disciplines and help us explore practical ways to use AI in quality assurance.
When joining Tieto Tech Consulting as a Test Engineer, you will
- design, perform and document manual tests with a clear focus on user needs and software quality
- develop, maintain and execute automated end-to-end tests across system and interface boundaries
- carry out interface and API tests and translate findings into clear, actionable insights
- integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and contribute to reliable delivery processes
- explore meaningful uses of AI in testing
Who we are looking for
- Hands-on experience in software testing (manual and automated)
- An ISTQB Foundation Level certification; ISTQB Advanced Level is an advantage
- A structured and precise approach, combined with initiative, ownership and a pragmatic hands-on mindset
- Experience with performance and load testing as well as container and cloud environments (OpenShift, Azure)
- Experience with testing of event streams including message validation, producers/consumers, ordering and idempotency as well as non-functional testing: failover & disaster scenarios, monitoring & alerting verification
- Test Environment Management & Service Virtualization (Mocking, Stubbing)
- Excellent German skills at C1 level for customer and team communication
- Curiosity about technology and a genuine enthusiasm for testing
You approach quality with curiosity and care, communicate openly, and enjoy solving problems together with others. With a structured, hands-on mindset, you take ownership while remaining eager to learn and share knowledge.
We offer
- A culture built on trust, collaboration and continuous learning
- Flexible hybrid working models and modern ways of working
- Continuous professional development, knowledge sharing and international career opportunities
- A laptop and smartphone for private use, health programs, team events, food vouchers, excellent public-transport connections, a contribution towards the Austrian Klimaticket, fresh fruit and further local benefits
- The opportunity to work with experienced colleagues on meaningful projects while contributing your own ideas from day one
The monthly gross salary for this full-time position starts EUR 3.954,00 in accordance with the Austrian IT collective agreement (ST1 “Regelstufe”). The final package will reflect your qualifications, relevant experience and current market standards.
