Test Expert

For our Partner delivering a project for a European Union agency, we are looking for an experienced Test Expert (SharePoint).

The role focuses on testing complex enterprise applications built on SharePoint On-premises and SharePoint Online, including front-end, back-end, and data integration solutions. The selected consultant will be responsible for defining testing strategies, designing test environments, coordinating testing activities, and ensuring software quality throughout the development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Defining testing strategies and planning testing activities for complex software systems.
• Designing and maintaining test plans, test cases, test scripts, and testing environments.
• Performing unit, integration, functional, regression, performance, stress, and acceptance testing.
• Testing front-end and back-end solutions built on SharePoint On-premises and SharePoint Online.
• Testing SharePoint data integration solutions.
• Setting up and configuring test management tools for new projects.
• Executing and debugging test cases and scripts.
• Analysing functional and technical system designs to ensure testability.
• Monitoring test execution, analysing results, reporting defects, and tracking testing progress.
• Preparing and maintaining test documentation and quality reports.
• Leading and coordinating testing activities in complex projects.
• Collaborating with business analysts, architects, developers, and service desk teams to ensure software quality.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of relevant professional IT experience, including at least 4 years of experience in software testing or a similar role (commercial experience gained after graduation; periods of study, including part-time or extramural studies, do not count towards the required experience).
• Proven experience in testing complex enterprise software systems.
• Hands-on experience in testing SharePoint On-premises front-end and back-end solutions.
• Practical experience in testing SharePoint Online applications.
• Experience in testing SharePoint data integration solutions.
• Strong expertise in unit, integration, functional, regression, performance, stress, and acceptance testing.
• Experience in designing and configuring test environments.
• Experience in setting up test management tools for new projects.
• Proven experience in leading and coordinating testing activities in complex software projects.
• Strong practical knowledge of software testing tools, techniques, and methodologies.
• Experience in preparing and maintaining comprehensive test documentation.
• Good understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills, with strong attention to detail.

Additional Requirements

• ISTQB Advanced certification, an internationally recognised equivalent accepted by the Contracting Authority, or at least 3 additional years of test management experience beyond the minimum required experience at a similar position.
• English proficiency at C1 level.
• Minimum education at EQF Level 6 (bachelor's degree or equivalent).
• EU citizenship is mandatory
