Role: Workstream Test Lead

Location: Stockholm, Sweden (Location)

Job Type: Hybrid work mode (3 days per week On-Site)

Job Description:

Test Workstream Lead owns the overall testing governance and coordinate dedicated regression, UAT, DR, and security testing, with accountability for obtaining final sign-off from Compliance, Operations, Technology, and Information Security before go-live.

In practice, the role is less about writing test scripts personally and more about orchestrating stakeholders to provide evidence that the solution is resilient, compliant, and ready for production.

Experience and Profile

Strong experience in establishing and leading major testing programs from scratch

Experience in UAT governance, business validation and sign-off processes

Ability to coordinate many stakeholders across Tech, Business, Operations and Vendor

Experience of driving test planning in complex banking or regulatory environments

Experience in managing dependencies between SIT, UAT, Readiness and Go-Live

Key Responsibilities

Define the Testing Strategy

The Test Workstream Lead develops the overall test approach, including:

Test objectives and success criteria

Scope of testing (applications, interfaces, users, infrastructure)

Test cycles and timelines

Entry and exit criteria

Defect management process

Reporting and governance

Test phases include:

Environment Validation

Connectivity testing

System Integration Testing (SIT)

Security Testing

Regression Testing

Business continuity/failover testing

Disaster recovery testing

User Acceptance Testing (UAT)

End-to-end operational testing

Go-live

Coordinate Across Workstreams

The role acts as the central point between:

Operations

LM and Reporting Teams

Tech team

Vendor

Program Manager

The Test Lead ensures all dependencies are ready before testing starts.

Create Test Plan

The lead typically creates:

Master Test Plan

Test schedule

Test scenarios

Test cases

Roles and responsibilities matrix

Defect tracking process

Test completion reports

Manage Business Continuity & DR Testing

The Test Lead coordinates execution and evidence collection

Defect Management

The lead:

Reviews defects

Prioritizes by severity

Assigns ownership

Tracks remediation

Coordinates retesting

Reports testing risks to program governance

Reporting and Governance

Regular reporting to the program manager and steering committee

Regulatory & Audit Evidence

Since Firco supports sanctions and AML controls, the Test Lead ensures evidence is retained for:

Internal Audit

Regulators

Operational Risk

Compliance Assurance.
