Test Manager

Rheinmetall 4iG Digital Services (R4) is a joint venture between Rheinmetall, a globally leading supplier of defense and automotive products, and 4iG, Hungary’s leading IT systems integrator. R4 has been founded end of 2022 with its headquarters in Budapest and the initial mission to provide project- and operations-related IT services to Rheinmetall’s local subsidiaries in Hungary and worldwide. Based on business requirements and opportunities, R4 plans to progressively expand the scope of its services for internal and external customers alike. In order to achieve our common goals, we count on you

• Plan, coordinate, manage, and execute testing activities for small and medium-sized software projects in an international business environment.
• Support Senior Test Managers in the initiation, planning, and delivery of testing for large and strategic projects.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, developers, business stakeholders, and customers to ensure timely, high-quality software delivery.
• Design and review test scenarios and test cases, considering automation opportunities and ensuring documentation remains up to date.
• Execute test activities, evaluate results, and prepare comprehensive test reports.
• Identify, document, communicate, and track software defects and process deviations through to resolution.
• Escalate quality risks and issues that may impact project success to project management.
• Apply and adapt testing methodologies, tools, and best practices to meet project requirements.
• Review test plans, test cases, and related documentation, providing constructive feedback where necessary.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes, quality assurance practices, and testing frameworks.
• Prepare regular and ad hoc status reports and maintain effective communication with project teams and management.

What you will need for successful work

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in software testing or test management.
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, test lifecycle management, and quality assurance processes.
• Experience working in international project environments.
• Professional working proficiency in English and German.
