Is this job info correct?

Cornelis Networks is hiring a talented Entry-Level Thermal Engineer with a foundational understanding of heat transfer and fluid dynamics. In this entry-level role, you will support the design, simulation, and physical testing of thermal management solutions for the next-generation Cornelis Networks Fabric platforms. You will work closely with senior thermal, mechanical, and electrical engineers to evaluate high-performance electronics cooling from the component level up to the system level. The ability to effectively focus a significant amount of computational power on solving critical problems through the use of artificial intelligence, data analytics, and modeling/simulation techniques is vital to many scientific, commercial, and government organizations, and it is the mission of Cornelis Networks to deliver innovative purpose-built interconnect solutions that enable our customers to optimally apply vast computational resources to solve the world’s toughest problems. Key tasks include: Lab Testing & Validation: Set up and execute thermal measurements and qualification testing. Apply thermocouples, manage data acquisition (DAQ) systems, and collect empirical data to validate thermal designs. Simulate & Model: Assist senior engineers in executing computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and thermal simulations, including modeling, pre-/post-processing, and analysis. Component Thermal Design Support: Support the thermal design and evaluation of PCBs, heat sinks, and thermal interface materials (TIMs). Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze thermal test data, summarize findings, and contribute to formal engineering test reports and guidelines. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing teams to understand design constraints and support product readiness. Minimum qualifications BS in Mechanical Engineering with a focus in Thermodynamics, Heat Transfer, Fluid Dynamics, or Thermal Engineering. 0-3 years of experience in thermal engineering (internship, co-op, or academic lab experience qualifies). Hands-on experience in a lab environment: familiarity with thermal sensors, data acquisition, and test execution. Familiarity with 3D MCAD tools (CREO preferred, SolidWorks acceptable). Familiarity with basic CFD tools and concepts (academic or industry exposure to Cadence Celsius EC, Siemens Flotherm , or Ansys Icepak is highly desired). Understanding of basic cooling methods (conduction, convection, heat sinks, and thermal interface materials). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; eager to learn and work in a cross-disciplinary team. Preferred qualifications: MS in Mechanical Engineering. Scripting experience (e.g., Python, MATLAB) for test automation or thermal data analysis. Prior experience specifically using Cadence Celsius EC for electronics cooling simulation. Familiarity with liquid cooling systems, cold plates, or two-phase cooling methods. Exposure to high-performance computing (HPC) or data center environments. Location This position is hybrid (on-site with some remote work possible) at the headquarters in the Chesterbrook Corporate Center in Wayne, PA. The successful candidate resides within commuting distance. Cornelis Networks is an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, pregnancy, age, national origin, disability status, genetic information, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
