The Strategic Sourcing Division serves as the enterprise center of expertise for sourcing, supplier management, third-party risk operations, and supporting technologies. The team partners with business units and suppliers to drive efficient processes, maintain high-quality data, and support effective supplier governance across the source-to-pay lifecycle.
Position Overview
The Third Party Service Provider Intern will support supplier lifecycle management, data governance, reporting, and operational activities related to third-party risk management. This role will provide hands-on experience working with supplier and contract data, business systems, and AI-enabled tools while contributing to process improvement initiatives. The intern will work closely with experienced team members in a collaborative environment, receiving structured training before progressively taking on greater independence and responsibility.
This hybrid internship is based in our downtown Cincinnati headquarters and is designed for a student who can work part-time during the fall and spring semesters, with the opportunity to transition to full-time hours during summer breaks. Interns are expected to work in the office Monday through Thursday when working full-time during the summer, consistent with the team's standard hybrid schedule. During the school year, we recognize the need for flexibility around academic commitments, but interns are expected to be onsite as much as possible based on their class schedules.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and update supplier, contract, and engagement records within the Third-Party Service Platform (TPSP) platform.
- Audit, validate, and cleanse data to improve accuracy, completeness, and data integrity.
- Analyze data to identify trends, reporting needs, and process improvement opportunities.
- Utilize AI and Copilot tools to perform data research, analysis, validation, and reporting activities.
- Support supplier onboarding activities and workflow coordination.
- Monitor and respond to inquiries received through shared team in boxes and support queues.
- Support data governance, system testing, and enhancement initiatives.
- Develop and maintain SOPs, training materials, and process documentation.
- Assist with audit, compliance, and management reporting activities.
- Collaborate with team members on operational and continuous improvement projects.
- Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Risk Management, or related fields.
- Ability to work full-time during the summer and part-time during the academic year.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Interest in data analysis, data governance, business systems, or risk management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft 365 applications.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to learn new technologies quickly.
- Experience with ServiceNow, AI tools (e.g., Copilot), or related business systems is a plus, but not required.
