Role Description The Title Searcher is responsible for conducting thorough title searches and reviews to identify any issues that may affect property ownership or transfer. In this full-time remote role, the Title Searcher analyzes public records, deeds, liens, and chain of title documentation to ensure clear and marketable title. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing legal documents, preparing accurate title reports, verifying property information, and communicating findings to internal teams or clients. The role also involves resolving discrepancies, flagging potential risks, and maintaining organized and accurate records to support timely and efficient title insurance processes. Collaboration with other team members and adherence to company standards and regulatory requirements are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of title searches, including experience reviewing public records and property documentation.
• Understanding of liens and related encumbrances, with the ability to identify and interpret their impact on title.
• Familiarity with chain of title research, including tracing ownership history and resolving gaps or inconsistencies.
• Experience working with deeds and escrow processes, including basic understanding of closing procedures.
• Attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to interpret legal and financial documents.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills for clear reporting and collaboration with remote teams.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage multiple assignments, and meet deadlines.
• Prior experience in title insurance, real estate, or mortgage industry preferred.
• Proficiency with online research tools, title software, and standard office applications.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional coursework or certification in real estate or title work is a plus.
