Title Insurance Processor

Job Requirements and Responsibilities:
- Order and process Title Searches and Tax Certifications, as well as other certifications, searches, and liens.
- Clear title conditions based on underwriting requirements. Analyze findings and address them accordingly.
- Examine individual title searches in order to determine if restrictions, such as delinquent taxes, will affect title or limit property use.
- Coordinate time and place of settlements.
- Communicate with realtors, lending institution personnel, buyers, sellers, contractors, surveyors, and courthouse personnel.
- Contact third parties as needed for payoffs, final water/sewer, and to resolve other outstanding issues.
- Prepare and issue title commitments, “marked up” title binders, and final title insurance policies.
- Prepare settlement statements.
- Assist closer before, during, and after settlement.
- Promote the company’s products and services.
- Additional duties and responsibilities as they may apply.
Requirements:
- General understanding of appraisals, title insurance, real estate contracts and real estate transactions.
- Highly disciplined individual with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multi-task and handle a high volume of incoming and outgoing phone calls in a professional manner.
- Knowledge of MS Office, Outlook, and applicable software applications such as Title Express or similar industry software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Professional appearance.
- Experience as a Title Processor or with land title insurance a plus.
