PAYE Rate: £220.05 per day

Approximate hourly equivalent based on 36 hours per week: £30.56 per hour.

Job Overview

Barnet Council is seeking an experienced Trading Standards Team Leader to support the Service Manager in the legally robust delivery of the Trading Standards service.

The role will involve overseeing officer workloads, providing technical advice, supporting enforcement activity, leading complex cases and helping businesses comply with their legal duties.

The postholder will also act as Chief Weights and Measures Inspector to support the Council’s statutory duty.

This is a senior Trading Standards enforcement role.

Candidates must have strong Trading Standards experience, complex casework experience, statutory enforcement knowledge and the ability to provide technical guidance.

Candidates must be suitably qualified and experienced to act as Chief Weights and Measures Inspector.

An Enhanced DBS is required.
