Description

The European Medicines Agency (EMA) is looking for motivated, qualified recent graduates or students on an Erasmus+ or other programme or PhD students or Masters university student (with a previous degree) who are interested in gaining experience and contribute to the Agency’s work for every patient in Europe.

At EMA, traineeships are designed to enhance your knowledge and provide hands-on experience in a dynamic environment. You'll be performing tasks that not only benefit your training but also help you grow professionally. All the traineeship positions are paid.

Closing date 30 September 2026 23:59 CET, with an intake on 1 March 2027.

Corporate support traineeships

  • Trainee (Leveraging Administration for Automation, AI and Digitisation)
  • Trainee (Developing EMA's podcast series)
  • Trainee (Data Analytics & Process Automation)
  • Trainee (Information Centre - Increasing EMA's knowledge base to support its public health work)
  • Trainee (Supporting stakeholders' engagement and medicines health information)
  • Trainee (Legal Department of EMA)

Scientific traineeships

  • Trainee (Refining regulatory intelligence on not-for-profit medicine developments)
  • Trainee (Development of medicines for children and paediatric pharmacovigilance)

What Do We Offer

  • A ten-month traineeship at the Agency’s premises in Amsterdam (1 March 2027 – 31 December 2027)
  • Stipend: €2,049.77 net per month

Requirements

Eligibility criteria

To be eligible for consideration for this placement, you are required to:

enjoy full rights as a citizen of a European Union Member State or Iceland, Lichtenstein and Norway;

possess a relevant university degree (minimum of three years or more) that must have been obtained between 30 September 2025 and 30 September 2026 or be a university student on an Erasmus + or a similar programme or a PhD student or a Master's student with a previous fully finished degree

a thorough knowledge of English (at least level C1) and good knowledge of other official EU language (at least B2) of the Common European Framework for Languages
