This is an internal role on our team, built for someone who has operational instincts, enjoys guiding others, and wants to help our Operations Managers succeed.

About the role

As a Trainer at Edge, you will drive the professional growth of our Operations Managers from onboarding through client placement and beyond. You will introduce them to the EdgeOS system, partner with them on real-world client scenarios, and cultivate confident, self-sufficient operators. In this position, you will act as a trusted mentor, strategic thought partner, and guardian of quality across the entire team.

This is a leadership role, not an administrative one. You'll set the standard for how our Operations Managers think and perform, and you'll be expected to raise it.

Who thrives here

  • You're a natural problem-solver. When someone brings you a situation, you help them work out the next step instead of just giving them the answer.
  • You hold people accountable, warmly and consistently. You follow up, check the work, and don't let things slip.
  • You're organized. You can track many people's progress at once without losing the thread.
  • You communicate clearly and directly, in writing and on calls.
  • You're patient but honest. You can give feedback that's kind and still lands.

What you'll do

  • Monitor training progress. Confirm that Operations Managers in training have watched the required videos, completed their modules, and submitted their daily tasks. Review their pre-placement and post-placement progress.
  • Review daily tasks. Check completed work for quality and understanding, and give clear feedback.
  • Answer training questions. Be the go-to person for questions about training content and how to apply it.
  • Coach placed Operations Managers. Hold regular meetings with Operations Managers already working with clients. Help them understand their responsibilities, decide on next steps, and work through specific situations.
  • Brainstorm solutions together. Act as a thinking partner. Share ideas, pressure-test approaches, and help them handle client challenges with confidence.
  • Flag risks early. Spot when someone is struggling or falling behind, and escalate or step in before it affects the client.
  • Own client quality. Communicate directly with our clients to understand their expectations and gather feedback. You'll be accountable for the quality of the service our Operations Managers deliver.

What you bring

  • Advanced English (C1+), with clear, confident written and verbal communication.
  • Experience in operations, business management, or team leadership. Experience as an Operations Manager, coach, or team lead is a strong plus.
  • A track record of leading people, growing a team, or building culture inside a business.
  • Proven experience coaching, mentoring, or managing a team.
  • A proactive, organized, ownership-driven personality.
  • Nice to have: familiarity with systems like scorecards, playbooks, dashboards, or meeting rhythms, or exposure to the roofing, restoration, or construction industry.
  • Reliability and a genuine interest in growing with Edge Operations Managers long-term.
