PLANNED PARENTHOOD GREAT RIVERS POSITION TITLE: Training Coordinator STATUS: Full-Time, Non-Exempt REPORTS TO: Director of Compliance and Risk Management COMPENSATION and BENEFITS: $44,800 - $64,100 Must have or obtain the Flu, COVID Vaccines and Booster! Employer Paid: Healthcare: Employee pays approximately $25 per pay period Vision: Employee pays approximately $4 per pay period Dental: Employee pays approximately $5 per pay period Life Insurance: Up to $100,000 Mail in pharmacy benefits Well-being reward: $200 Paid Parental Leave: 8 weeks of full salary after the event (birth or adoption) Retirement plan with up to 6% contribution after 1 year of employment Generous Paid Time Off: 10 Sick Days, 10 Vacation Days, 3 Personal Days, 9 Holidays Employee Paid/Voluntary Benefits Include: Aflac: Short-Term Disability, Accident Policy and Hospitalization Policy Life Insurance additional coverage up to $100,000 POSITION SUMMARY The Training Coordinator works under the direction of the Director of Compliance and Risk Management by assisting Planned Parenthood Great Rivers employees in the understanding, implementation and training of processes to comply with operations within the affiliate’s health centers. Acts as a liaison and trainer for new and incoming patient service staff within the affiliate, regarding health center duties and functions. Provides quality reproductive and family planning services to patients through patient care and laboratory duties. Cognizant of and compliant with risk management, HIPAA guidelines, and quality assurance standards. This position coordinates designated quality assurance/clinical risk management activities related to Planned Parenthood client services and collaborates as required to facilitate clinical and quality initiatives to achieve PPFA/Planned Parenthood Great River’s quality objectives. This position may fulfill the cell phone reimbursement policy requirements. PRIMARY DUTIES PERFORMED Assists in developing, coordinating and conducting departmental training programs, such as, orientation and other onboarding training. Ensures affiliate’s procedures meet internal and external quality standards. Work with other staff to assure compliance in performance and procedures. Provides clinical support to health center staff to maintain skills as needed and determined by the Director of Compliance and Risk Management. Assist Director of Compliance and Risk Management in facilitating quarterly auditing requirements and on occasion site visits to monitor clinical quality improvement and infection prevention standards for the agency. Tracking and maintaining of training documentation on various elements of performance. Assists in quality assurance activities, including accreditation prep, state statutes, local and national regulatory bodies (e.g. CLIA, OSHA, HIPAA) requirements. Navigates lab requirements and specimen handling in accordance with standards and guidelines pertain to each individual lab. Act as an ambassador of PPFA elements of performance by familiarizing and comprehending elements pertaining to service provision of Patient Services and Research Department. Performs or participates in special projects as necessary to meet the goals and mission of the agency. Designated affiliate trainer for injections and phlebotomy Assures infection control guidelines Other duties as assigned Periodic travel to affiliate locations may be required EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High school diploma or GED certificate required Two years of laboratory experience QUALIFICATIONS Must have proficiency of both front desk and clinical operations and functions within the health center. Excellent organizational skills & time management Experienced in venipunctures and injections Exceptional medical assessment skills Familiarity with OSHA and CLIA guidelines; experience with PPFA and Title X standards is desirable. Effective interpersonal skills, including listening, communication, empathy, teamwork and emotional intelligence RISK MANAGEMENT AND QUALITY ASSURANCE Establishes and complies with Planned Parenthood Great Rivers organizational policies that: Ensure the provision of the highest quality and most professional service deliver to all Planned Parenthood clients; Protect Planned Parenthood assets from liability; Ensure the physical safety of Planned Parenthood clients, staff and volunteers; Protects confidentiality of all Planned Parenthood clients, donors, Board and all areas of operation; Follow HIPAA privacy and security guidelines.
