Job Title: Training Developer / Instructor II Job Description The Training Developer / Instructor II designs, develops, and delivers engaging employee training programs that support both traditional and digital learning. This role creates high-quality instructional content, collaborates closely with subject matter experts, facilitates virtual and instructor-led sessions, and evaluates the effectiveness of training initiatives. The position focuses on supporting employee development and operational training needs across a variety of business functions. Responsibilities Design and develop comprehensive training curricula, learning materials, and instructional content that align with organizational goals and adult learning principles. Create eLearning courses, presentations, manuals, videos, job aids, and supporting documentation to meet diverse learning needs. Collaborate directly with subject matter experts to gather technical and operational information and translate it into clear, learner-friendly content. Facilitate virtual and instructor-led training sessions to deliver engaging and effective learning experiences for employees. Administer, manage, and track training activities through Learning Management Systems (LMS), ensuring accurate records and reporting. Develop assessments, quizzes, and training evaluations to measure learning outcomes and training effectiveness. Review and update existing training materials to reflect changes in processes, procedures, and technology. Partner with leadership and key stakeholders to identify training needs, analyze performance gaps, and recommend appropriate learning solutions. Manage multiple training projects simultaneously, balancing timelines, priorities, and stakeholder expectations. Ensure consistency, quality, and alignment of all training content with organizational standards and branding. Essential Skills 5–10 years of experience creating, developing, and delivering employee training programs. Proven experience designing and facilitating training for adult learners. Strong instructional design skills, including curriculum development and content creation. Hands-on experience with eLearning development and digital learning solutions. Experience facilitating instructor-led training (ILT) in virtual and live formats. Proficiency with Learning Management Systems (LMS) for administering and tracking training. Strong communication, presentation, and facilitation skills. Demonstrated ability to work with subject matter experts to convert technical information into accessible learning content. Project management skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent training initiatives. Experience with adult learning principles and best practices in training development. Bachelor’s degree in Education, Instructional Design, or a related field. Additional Skills & Qualifications Instructional Design or Training certifications. Experience using eLearning authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline and Adobe Captivate. Experience supporting large corporate, operational, industrial, utility, or field-based organizations. Background in developing training for operational or field environments. Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including operations and business stakeholders. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality learning materials. Work Environment This is a fully remote role conducted during standard business hours, typically 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. or 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The position operates in a project-based environment with multiple concurrent training initiatives and a mix of independent content development and live training facilitation. The role involves frequent collaboration with subject matter experts, operations teams, and business stakeholders, using digital tools and platforms to design, deliver, and manage training programs in a virtual setting. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Atlanta, GA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $36.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
