Training manager

Location: Oudenaarde, Belgium with +40% of travel Samsonite Europe NV is looking for a dynamic and creative Training Manager Europe to elevate the performance of our retail teams across all European stores. You will bring fresh ideas, create engaging content, and deliver impactful training that strengthens product knowledge, selling excellence, and clienteling skills. Your mission Deliver European training — Facilitate engaging online and in store sessions on brand culture, product knowledge, selling ceremony, and customer experience. Coach in the field — Visit stores, assess needs, motivate teams, and provide on the spot coaching that drives immediate impact. Partner with Retail Managers — Evaluate training levels, identify skill gaps, and align on priorities for each market. Collaborate with our Quest Lead — Support the evolution of our online training platform with creative ideas, new content proposals, and the ability to create online training bites. Champion CRM excellence — Master our CRM tool, track performance, and build a network of clienteling champions across countries. Independent project ownership — Start a training project from scratch, structure it clearly, and drive it forward independently while bringing both creativity and strong organizational skills. Measure and sustain impact — Track training effectiveness, follow up consistently, ensure learnings stick, and closely monitor business KPI performance to connect training outcomes with commercial results. Work cross functionally — Partner with other departments to co create new, interactive, and impactful training content. What you bring 3–5 years of experience as a retail trainer, ideally in a premium or luxury environment. Experience with onboarding, online learning platforms and field coaching. Strong communication, presentation, and coaching skills. Ability to influence, motivate, and lead by example. Creative mindset with the confidence to propose new ideas and formats. Strong analytical and follow up skills. Fluent English; additional languages are a plus. Excellent PowerPoint and Excel skills and ideally experience with tools used to create online training bites (such as Synthesia or Articulate) Passion for travel — You enjoy being on the road, feel energized by store visits, and embrace the flexibility required for a role with frequent European travel.
