City: Remote State: Remote Job Summary Responsible for leading the employee training and development program, equipping employees with the technical skills and knowledge needed to support organizational success through training curriculum development, quality improvement initiatives, and workforce capability planning. This dynamic, people-focused role requires the ability to break down complex subject matter into easily digestible, actionable content that inspires and motivates learners at all levels. Collaborates cross-functionally to align training initiatives with business objectives and leverages a variety of instructional methods to maximize learning outcomes. Fosters a culture of continuous growth and development by providing ongoing support, coaching, and performance evaluation. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Counsel with Divisional Directors/Managers/Team Leads to strategically plan for leveling up divisional employees to meet ongoing and/or anticipated capacity needs for the business. Create focused curriculums and pathways for divisional employees to level up and gain relevant qualifications based on their desired career path and business needs. Organize, schedule and conduct technical training of divisional employees, and then follow up with Manager(s) regarding employee progress in performance/comprehension of training material. Delivers training via hybrid methods: live, recorded, microlearning, written manuals, and on-site shadowing. Provides clear developmental pathways and establishes progression milestones. Identifies gaps in current learning & development process and assigns specific training modules that are respective to identified employee needs. As divisional employees obtain relevant qualifications and training, ensure all employees (full-time, part-time, per-project, and Alliance Partners) have their qualifications updated in their HR profile and SAM App through prompt communication to Managers and Divisional Directors. Conduct monthly audit and verification of employee qualifications. Ensure trained materials are reinforced through relevant field experience by coordinating shadow opportunities for recently trained employees via communication and collaboration with Operational staff and Managers. Develops, delivers, and iterates monthly toolbox talks that include Safety Spotlights for divisional employees and cover topics relevant to the business. Archive and index these materials with BV’s learning resources for future reference. Delivers outstanding customer service through timely response and proactive solutions to clients and stakeholder needs. Protects operations by keeping company information confidential. Use of professional discretion and judgment is mandatory. Demonstrates BV’s guiding principles in support of the company's strategic goals. Follows all documented policies, Standard Operating Procedures, and Work Instructions applicable to the position and support of BV's quality standards and strategic initiatives. Maintains safe and clean work area by complying with all procedures, rules, and regulations. Must be able to meet the physical demands of the job. Division Specific Essential Duties and Responsibilities Leads training for minimum Level 0 (PAIT), Level 1, and 2 TRX report core services. Coordinate 1:1 shadow opportunities with Wolfpack, TRX PATLs, TRRs, SECs, and at-level PAs (with approval from Director) so that PAs have exposure to all levels of the business model, and comprehensive exposure to various technical roles and perspectives. Instructs and provides direction to PAs and other technical field teams (i.e. Wolfpack) in the use and application of BV data collection and report writing software in accordance with client-specific protocol checklist requirements. Owns the QA/QC of PA reports with feedback to TRR/SEC, PA, and respective PA Team Lead(s) on findings. Monthly development and distribution of Technical Playbooks for TRX and participation in monthly SEC/TRR Tips & Tricks calls. Maps training needs with respect to capacity needs, skill gaps, and developmental goals, and drives actionable follow-ups. Co-develop new trainings related to client-specific protocols, regulatory changes, and new or updated services. Maintains the integrity of the RQA tool, including its functionality, usage, completion, and follow-up. Monitors RQA trends, field feedback, SEC/TRR feedback, and identifies emerging risk patterns. Develops and facilitates training opportunities to address risks and business needs. Owns the training resource library(ies), including inventorying, organizing, continuously updating training materials, and periodically retiring outdated materials (e.g. Playbooks, training videos, Toolbox talks, Quire field manuals, written SOPs, etc.). Reports monthly to Director on RQA improvement metrics and closure rates, training completion rates, skill gap closure rates, and new hire onboarding/ramp-up. Flag systemic issues (for example, three consecutive “Unacceptable” or “Needs Improvement” RQAs for a single PA; ongoing similar RQA comments across multiple PAs; etc.) and elevate to PATLs, Program Managers, and Director with root cause analysis. Travel by Plane, Motor Vehicle, Train (10% of workweek) to client sites across the U.S. specific to conducting or shadowing on-sites, doing training, gathering feedback, etc. As a general expectation, for approximately 2 to 3 days of the workweek, travel and onsite work is anticipated and expected. Overnight stays away from home may be required. Supervisory Responsibilities Directly or indirectly supervises employees. Carries out indirect supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work, and monitoring report quality, in collaboration with Directors and Managers. Holds assessors accountable for report quality and improvement. Prior training, coaching, mentorship, and/or teaching experience preferred. In lieu of degree, six years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. In addition, at least three years of experience with project and staff management is preferred. Related degree in the field of Environmental Science or Engineering. Related experience performing transactional due diligence reports (i.e. Phase I/PCA). Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Current professional registration as EP (Environmental Professional), PE (Professional Engineer) and or RA (Registered Architect) preferred. Valid driver's license required with no significant MVA points/violations (clean driving record). Employees who incur $2,000 or more per year in company-related travel expenses will be required to obtain a Corporate Credit Card. Employees who incur less than $2,000 per year in company-related travel expenses will be required to have sufficient personal credit to cover their business travel costs. Physical and Environmental Conditions While conducting or shadowing on-site assessments, the employee is required to: Walk (material part of an 8-hour workday, up to 3 to 4 continuous hours at one time.) Stand (material part of an 8-hour workday, up to 3 to 4 continuous hours at one time.) Sit, Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl to observe basement and grade-level crawl spaces, and/or to read equipment data plates when necessary, and/or measurements (at least once for each building assessed) Climb and balance Stairs (at least once for each building assessed) Climb and balance various types of ladders to access flat roofs/hatch access (at least once for each building assessed) ( not applicable during ADA Assessments or Environmental Site Assessments ) Repetitive use of hands/fingers for keyboard interaction (frequently) Reach with hands and arms Talk and hear (communicate with onsite contact) Vision (close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus) Lift and or move (occasionally up to 40 pounds) ( not applicable during ADA Assessments ) Operate an electronic tablet in the field for live data collection. Operate a computer (up to 100% of workweek) Operating a motor vehicle Ability to successfully work from remote location. Ability to travel by plane, motor vehicle, train to client/project sites across the U.S. Work Environment: The employee is regularly exposed to outdoor weather conditions, moving mechanical components and assemblies, frequently exposed to work near energized electrical components and assemblies. The employee is occasionally exposed to work in high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, extreme cold, extreme heat, inclement weather conditions, and risk of electrical shock. The noise level at the project site is usually moderate.
