Transcription Project Manager
Planet Depos LLCTranscription Project Managers are responsible for coordinating and managing transcription jobs through several stages. This includes receiving, assessing, and assigning audio files for transcription, communicating regularly with reporters and transcribers, responding to client requests, tracking deadlines, updating job records, and more.
The ideal candidate is a positive team player with excellent organization and communication skills, that can work well under pressure in a fast-paced working environment. They must be able to decisively act in important situations using discretion and independent judgment, easily grasp concepts, and solve problems in a professional and timely manner.
TRANSCRIPTION PROJECT MANAGER ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Receive and review audio/files from digital reporters and resources
- Assign transcription and scoping assignments to resource and vendors. Coordinate, manage, and track statuses as needed.
- Communicate with resources regarding audio/transcript status and other client requests
- Provide feedback on job submissions
- Monitor department inbox to promptly respond to client questions and other requests
- Handle transcription-related phone calls
- Coordinate deliverables with other Operations departments
- Guide clients through the client-provided audio transcription request process, including providing cost estimates
- Maintain up-to-date information in databases and job boards
- Quality-check, format, and finalize transcripts as needed
- Provide suggestions on how to improve transcription workflow, policies and procedures through process improvements and/or utilization of technology
- Other duties as assigned
TRANSCRIPTION PROJECT MANAGER LOCATION:
Remote
TRANSCRIPTION PROJECT MANAGER SHIFT:
1:00pm - 9:00pm EST, Monday through Friday
TRANSCRIPTION PROJECT MANAGER COMPENSATION:
- $50,000 annually
- This position is not eligible for overtime.

- Bachelor’s degree and/or a minimum of three years’ experience in an office or customer-service setting or a combination of education and industry experience required.
- Transcription experience preferred.
- Must have superb written and verbal communication skills and experience with Microsoft Office products. Strong attention to detail and excellent customer service skills. Analytical and problem-solving skills, decision-making skills and good judgment. Must be able to work in a professional and confidential environment.
