Responsibilities:

Reporting to the VP Business Transformation, the Transformation Delivery Manager — Digital Systems & Business Process Ownership is accountable for translating optimized business requirements into a coherent technological architecture — the company's Digital Thread — and, at the same time, for the end-to-end design, governance and continuous improvement of the core business processes running on the new ERP. The position merges two mandates previously held separately: the Transformation Delivery Manager — Digital Systems role and the Business Process Owner role, which is vacated with the exit of the current incumbent.

Duties:

1. Digital systems and the Digital Thread:
• Design the Digital Thread strategy to ensure a Single Source of Truth across the entire lifecycle — from CRM to PLM, ERP and QMS — and its alignment across all Comecer entities.
• Act as hands-on Lead Project Manager for Tier-1 digital integrations and strategic software deployments (for example new ERP migration, additional features of the PMO tool, CRM/Salesforce, front-end tools, etc.).
• Design and implement seamless cross-functional data flows that eliminate manual data entry, shadow IT and information silos across business segments.
• Define and enforce digital governance and system architecture standards in collaboration with the IT function, including the centralized census of tools and applicative projects, to support scalable business growth.
• Drive high-velocity Time-to-Value by ensuring that IT and digital investments are strictly prioritized on ROI/CRI and on their ability to remove operational bottlenecks.
• Translate business transformation requirements into technical specifications, engaging ABM and TDM – Process Excellence so that digital tools are built around optimized processes and not around inefficient legacy habits, supporting vendor selection and technology partnerships consistent with the long-term roadmap.

2. Business process ownership and governance:
• Own the end-to-end business processes, including all sub-processes and interfaces, workarounds and exception handling, ensuring they are efficient, standardized, compliant and aligned with business and Corporate strategy
• Define and maintain process documentation, including KPIs and control frameworks, and ensure alignment of process standards across regions, business units and systems
• Analyse and escalate proposed process changes and manage version control — for new and existing digital tools— bridging business needs and system capabilities
• Lead process mapping, gap analysis and redesign initiatives, identifying opportunities for standardization, automation and simplification, and benchmark internal processes against best practices to assess capacity, capability and resource requirements
• Define the RACI and the job descriptions resulting from process changes, and maintain the key user network, change management and training that keep the new processes adopted

3. SOX compliance and coordination of the SOX auditors comments on the new ERP:

The holder is the single internal coordination point for everything that arises from SOX review of the new ERP
• Act as internal coordinator for the SOX comments on the ERP: receive, log, triage and assign each observation, agree the remediation with the process and control owners, track closure to a defined due date, and maintain one consolidated status visible to the VP Business Transformation and to Finance Leader
• Guarantee the identifiable, continuous process ownership that SOX controls require: an owner who is named, permanent and accountable, not a rotating presence

Duties:

4. ERP completion after go-live:

• Manage one of the project stream for functional scope deferred to the second wave, the extension of reporting — including the external supplier perimeter and the verification of enabled users — and the closure of the gaps that emerged in UAT.
• Support month-end close and the hypercare phase, keeping a daily presence with the user community until the system is stable in operation.
• Act as business-side counterpart to the system integrator and the external consultants, bringing options and recommendations to the ERP Program Lead rather than raw problems, and escalating only what genuinely requires executive decision.

5. Transformation delivery:

• Manage directly, as Project Manager, the heaviest cross-functional initiatives in the digital portfolio, and advance the digital funnel from intake to deployment under the single prioritization logic of the transformation engine.
• Provide shared delivery capacity to Process Excellence on the process improvement funnel and on the PMO improvement initiatives, and to the ABM Manager by converting the systemic bottlenecks that ABM quantifies into structured transformation projects

Required competencies and skills:

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Engineering, Economics or Information Systems.
  • Senior experience in process ownership within Engineering-To-Order manufacturing, with working knowledge of order-to-cash and project accounting.
  • Direct experience on ERP programmes, preferably Oracle JDE, through go-live and post go-live stabilization.
  • Familiarity with environments subject to SOX controls, with internal and external audit cycles, and with the discipline of process narratives and control frameworks.
  • Demonstrated project management capability on cross-functional initiatives; PMP certification is a plus.
  • Understanding of enterprise application architecture and integration patterns across CRM, PLM, ERP and QMS, sufficient to govern design choices without performing the configuration.
  • Proven ability to hold a discussion with Finance, Operations, Engineering and Quality, and to bring an external advisor or system integrator to a decision.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, including Project; advanced knowledge of English; Italian required for daily operation on the Castel Bolognese site.

Language Skills:

  • English Advanced knowledge

What We Offer:

  • Contract Type: Permanent (open-ended) employment contract.
  • Collective Labour Agreement (CCNL): Italian Metalworking Industry Collective Agreement.
  • Compensation: Annual gross salary (RAL) ranging from €55,000 to €66,000, paid over 14 monthly instalments, in accordance with the Italian Metalworking Industry Collective Agreement. The actual compensation package will be determined based on the candidate’s professional experience, skills, and assigned job level.
  • Benefits: Corporate welfare program, company canteen, Smart Working (up to two days per week), Metasalute health insurance, and Management Incentive Bonus (MIB) of up to 10%.
