We're looking for an experienced Travel Advisor who can own the full arc of a client's journey with Kammui - from first inquiry through to their once in a lifetime trip. You'll curate and organise bespoke, nature and culture based itineraries tailored to each traveler, then stay hands-on through the trip itself, coordinating logistics and troubleshooting in real time to ensure a seamless experience. Responsibilities:
Trip Curation & Sales
- Respond to guest and travel agent inquiries, converting them into confirmed bookings.
- Curate bespoke itineraries and travel products that resonate with our target market, drawing on Kammui's network of guides, experiences, and partners.
- Book all elements of the trip with hotels, partners and vendors
On-Trip & Operational Management
- Oversee the end-to-end execution of trips, ensuring a flawless customer experience, including coordinating travel schedules, itineraries, and bookings, and processing invoices.
- Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers, guides, and other partners to negotiate terms and ensure high-quality service.
- Monitor trip quality and customer satisfaction, resolve tour-related issues and emergencies in real time, and respond to inquiries throughout the trip.
- Identify inefficiencies and streamline processes to maximize productivity and reduce operational costs.
Qualifications
Experience: 2+ years in travel, hospitality, or logistics, ideally spanning both sales/curation and operations; experience with start-ups is a plus.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field preferred, but we are open to any educational background.
Skills:
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities, with the ability to think on your feet during a live trip.
- Proficiency with operational tools and software (e.g. CRM, project management tools).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, adept at building relationships remotely and in person.
- Fluency in Japanese and English.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, flexible startup environment, demonstrating agility and proactive problem-solving skills.
- A genuine passion for travel, nature, and culture, and experience in the travel or adventure tourism industry is highly desirable.
