A Brief Overview
Provides leadership and management for treasury operations across SVH and its controlled affiliates, including cash and liquidity management, banking and investment relationships, debt financing and compliance, insurance and self-insurance programs, property tax matters, and related financial reporting and disclosure requirements. Establishes effective controls, supports strategic financing decisions, and ensures timely execution of treasury activities.
Education Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree Accounting, finance or business administration with an emphasis in accounting, finance or auditing. Required

- 3 years Progressive experience in treasury, corporate finance, accounting, banking, investments, debt, or risk financing; healthcare or other complex, regulated industry experience. Required

What you will do
- In coordination with CFO/Treasurer and Assistant CFO/Controller – oversees commercial banking, investment management, investment banking, outsourced chief investment officer (OCIO), and other funding relationships; serves as the primary operational point of contact. Directs daily cash positioning, liquidity planning, cash forecasting, bank account administration, fee negotiations, and investment of operating cash reserves to support liquidity, safety, yield, and operational efficiency. Oversees applicable SVH corporate portfolios and SVF endowment assets in accordance with approved policies.
- Maintains effective relationships with bond counsel, trustees, municipal advisors, investment bankers, lenders, and other debt related parties. Coordinates debt issuance and refinancing activities, evaluates financing alternatives, and serves as an internal resource for capital financing decisions. Monitors debt agreements, covenants, payment requirements, and related compliance obligations.
- Coordinates prefiling reviews with bond counsel and verifies required postings to the Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board's Electronic Municipal Market Access (EMMA) system. Leads the accurate and timely preparation of continuing disclosure filings, including quarterly and annual financial information and operating data, audited financial statements, and required event notices. Oversees annual post-issuance compliance reviews, including the use of assets financed with tax-exempt bond proceeds.
- Manages (in coordination with Legal Team) the insurance renewal and underwriting process for medical professional liability, general liability, directors and officers, errors and omissions, fiduciary liability, crime, cyber/privacy, property, and other applicable coverages. Evaluates organizational and market changes, loss experience, coverage levels, deductibles, and risk-retention strategies; recommends program changes to executive management and/or the Finance and Audit Committee.
- Coordinates with actuarial professionals and reviews actuarial reports supporting medical liability and other self-insurance programs. Oversees medical liability accounting, provides information used to determine self-insurance trust funding and incurred-but-not-reported (IBNR) estimates, and supports related financial projections. Monitors compliance with collateral and security trust agreements and related investments, and maintains required self-insurance permits with applicable State of Kansas agencies for medical liability, workers' compensation, and other self-insurance programs.
- Prepares materials for and participates in Treasury Committee and Finance and Audit Committee meetings, providing analysis and clarification related to liquidity, investments, financing, insurance, and other assigned areas.
- Supports the Assistant CFO/Controller with accounting and financial reporting for affiliated entities, including separate-entity and consolidated reporting, as assigned.
- Manages real and personal property tax matters, including property tax exemption applications in coordination with operational leaders and legal counsel. Evaluates property structures and other opportunities that support appropriate exemption of real estate used for tax-exempt purposes.
- Coordinates the preparation, validation, and presentation of financial and operating information for annual credit rating reviews and other rating agency communications alongside Director Budgeting and Financial Planning.
- Supervises the Treasury Analyst, including selection, onboarding, training, performance management, development, and corrective action as appropriate. Provides functional oversight to team members supporting daily cash management and banking activity.
- Oversees the accurate and timely preparation, support, approval, and submission of project fund reimbursement requests and maintains related documentation.
