Location: Living Planet Centre, Woking, Surrey

Contract: 12-month FTC, full time (35 hours)

Hybrid working: Minimum 40% in person collaboration per month

Salary: £31,394 + excellent benefits

Safeguarding level: Level One

About the role

We’re excited to be recruiting a Treasury Specialist to join WWF-UK’s Treasury team for a 12-month fixed term contract to help ensure our financial operations run smoothly, accurately and securely.

Sitting within Accounting Operations, you’ll support the day-to-day management of WWF-UK’s bank accounts, income, cashflow and sales ledger activity, helping make sure transactions are recorded correctly and funds are available when and where they are needed.

You’ll be responsible for reconciling bank and income control accounts, processing income journals and supporting foreign currency transactions. You’ll also maintain daily bank reporting and short-term cashflow information, investigating significant movements and working with colleagues across WWF-UK to understand and resolve queries.

This is a varied role that combines accuracy, organisation and strong financial controls with plenty of interaction across the organisation. You’ll also have the opportunity to contribute ideas that improve Treasury processes and ways of working.

We’re looking for someone who is organised, proactive and comfortable working with financial data and detailed reconciliations. You’ll have strong attention to detail, be confident managing competing priorities and enjoy working as part of a collaborative finance team.

Skills and experience

You’ll bring the skills and experience needed to succeed in this role, including:

Essential

  • Experience working within a finance team in a medium or large organisation
  • Experience carrying out high-volume or complex reconciliations accurately
  • Good working knowledge of Excel and confidence working with financial data
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage and reprioritise your workload
  • Excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy
  • Clear and confident communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to work calmly and collaboratively in a busy team environment
  • Strong general IT skills and confidence learning new systems

Desirable

  • Experience working with foreign currency transactions
  • Previous experience within a Treasury function
  • Familiarity with Business Central or a similar finance system
  • Experience supporting cashflow reporting or short-term liquidity management
  • Knowledge of sales ledger, credit control or accounts receivable processes

What we offer

We believe in rewarding our team with more than just a salary. Here’s what you can expect:

  • Annual leave starting at 26 days a year, rising one day each year to 31 days plus bank holidays
  • Flexible working options, to support your work life balance
  • 7.5% employer contribution to pension, rising to 10% with employee contribution
  • Learning and development opportunities to help you grow
  • Regular wellbeing initiatives to support your health and happiness.

This is a UK based contract, and you are required to have the Right to Work in the UK. Unfortunately, we’re unable to offer sponsorship and any offer of employment will be subject to evidence of your Right to Work in the UK.

This role is hybrid with a minimum 40% of your contracted hours spent at our beautiful UK head office, the Living Planet Centre in Woking, Surrey, where you’ll hot desk among trees and gardens.
