Job Title: Treatment Plan Coordinator
Department: Operations Financial Consultation Team
Reports To: Financial Services Manager
Employment Type: Full-Time
Location: Remote
NOTE: Candidates must reside in one of the following states to be considered for this position: Florida, Georgia, Michigan, Tennessee, Texas
POSITION SUMMARY
The Treatment Plan Coordinator serves as a liaison between the provider and the patient once the patient has been
identified as a candidate for the PRM Protocol, clearly explaining the treatment and its related costs. This role relays
information specific to the patient's treatment and timeline, and is prepared to explain, negotiate, and offer financial
arrangements. The Treatment Plan Coordinator provides a calm, supportive environment for patients who may be
anxious about moving forward with treatment and may also assist with insurance verification duties to support patients'
questions about their treatment and cost.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Be present via Teams during discussions with patients after they have seen the provider to help the patient understand the PRM Protocol and their financial responsibility based on their insurance
- When necessary, be present via Teams to go over cost with patients again for a second round of treatment
- Ensure patients understand the PRM Protocol and the financial cost to them
- Help patients understand why treatment is needed and offer options to help them afford it
- Present case fees and financial options to patients to facilitate the decision to move forward
- Present or co-present the treatment plan and consent
- Educate patients, as necessary, regarding their insurance benefits
- Determine medical benefit eligibility, limitations, and payment estimates necessary to facilitate financial arrangements
- Ensure patients are fully informed of their financial obligations
- Ask satisfied patients for a referral or online testimonial
- Proactively communicate with the team on whether the patient has decided to move forward with treatment and the financial decision made
- Track patients who have been spoken to and the outcome of that discussion for administration
- Additional duties as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- One to two years of relevant experience
- Healthcare insurance benefits experience required

- Experience with sales, out of network health care services

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT
This role involves prolonged periods of computer and phone use in a remote or office-based setting, with regular use of
telephones, calculators, EMR (eClinicalWorks), Microsoft Excel and Word, and Microsoft Teams to communicate with
patients and document treatment plans.
