Trucking & Drayage Dispatcher

Pace Global Logistics LLC is looking for an experienced Dispatcher to support our growing U.S. trucking and drayage operations.
100% REMOTE: Candidates can reside anywhere in Colombia.
We need someone who understands that dispatching is more than booking a truck as it is about staying ahead of the shipment, communicating constantly, solving problems quickly, and making sure the customer never has to chase us for an update.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate port and rail drayage, FTL, LTL and local trucking
• Dispatch drivers and trucking partners for pickups and deliveries
• Coordinate container pickups, returns and empty appointments
• Monitor free time, demurrage, detention and last free days
• Track shipments from pickup through final delivery
• Schedule warehouse, customer and terminal appointments
• Source and negotiate with trucking vendors and owner-operators
• Obtain PODs and ensure shipment documentation is complete
• Provide proactive status updates to customers and our operations team
• Troubleshoot missed appointments, delays, equipment issues and other exceptions
• Maintain accurate shipment information and costs in our operating system
What We’re Looking For:
✅ Experience in U.S. trucking and/or drayage dispatch
✅ Knowledge of ports, rail ramps, container terminology and trucking operations
✅ Strong communication and follow-up skills
✅ Ability to negotiate trucking rates and develop carrier relationships
✅ Comfortable handling multiple shipments and priorities simultaneously
✅ Detail-oriented and organized
✅ Someone who takes ownership instead of simply passing the problem to someone else
