About the Role
This is a client-forward Trusts and Estates Associate position within the Taxation and Wealth Planning department of a well-established national law firm. You will work closely alongside a senior partner approaching retirement, giving you a genuine opportunity to inherit an existing book of business and build a long-term practice within a collaborative, non-lockstep environment.
What You'll Do
Advise high-net-worth individuals and families on complex wealth transfer and estate planning strategies.
Draft and review sophisticated estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, and ancillary instruments.
Counsel trustees and executors on trust and estate administration matters.
Serve as a primary client contact with significant direct client exposure from day one.
Build toward assuming responsibility for an established client base as the senior partner transitions toward retirement.
What We're Looking For
5 to 7 years of trusts and estates experience, with strong command of gift, estate, and generation-skipping transfer tax regimes.
Licensed to practice law in Georgia, or ability to obtain licensure.
Demonstrated experience advising high-net-worth clients on wealth transfer and estate planning.
Hands-on experience drafting wills, trusts, and related estate planning instruments.
Experience counseling trustees and executors through trust and estate administration.
Entrepreneurial mindset with comfort in a highly client-facing role.
Strong academic record (minimum 3.0 law school GPA).
Stable work history with consistent career progression.
Authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary range: $235,000 to $300,000 USD annually. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
