Role Description In this full-time hybrid role based in Tampere, the Product Manager for spectroscopy, thermal analysis, and chromatography products is responsible for managing and developing the assigned product portfolios. Day-to-day tasks include coordinating with international suppliers, maintaining product information and pricing, and planning product launches and promotions. The role involves supporting sales colleagues with technical expertise, preparing quotations and product recommendations, and providing product training to internal teams and customers. The Product Manager will collaborate closely with service and technical support teams to ensure a seamless customer experience and will participate in customer meetings, events, and exhibitions. Some work from home is acceptable, with regular presence needed in Tampere and at customer sites as required.
Qualifications
  • Strong expertise in spectroscopy, thermal analysis, and chromatography, ideally supported by a degree in chemistry, physics, materials science, or a related laboratory discipline.
  • Experience working in laboratory environments, including familiarity with laboratory instruments, consumables, and typical workflows.
  • Skills in product management or product ownership, such as portfolio management, pricing, and product lifecycle planning.
  • Customer-focused mindset, with experience in technical sales support, customer consultation, or solution-oriented service.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with international suppliers and cross-functional teams, using clear written and verbal communication in English and Finnish.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple products, projects, and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Comfort with hybrid work arrangements and readiness to travel to customer sites and events when needed.
  • Experience in B2B technical sales, marketing of laboratory products, or distributor business is an advantage.
  • Proficiency with common office and business tools (e.g., CRM systems, ERP, spreadsheets, and presentation software).
  • Commitment to continuous learning about new laboratory technologies and the ability to translate technical features into clear customer benefits.
