Valeris is looking for an outstanding UAT Specialist responsible for planning, coordinating, executing, and documenting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities for technology solutions supporting Patient Support Services (PSS) programs. This role partners closely with business stakeholders, patient services operations, technology teams, vendors, and quality/compliance functions to ensure systems, enhancements, integrations, and workflows meet business requirements and are ready for successful implementation.

The ideal candidate combines strong testing and analytical skills with an understanding of patient support operations, including patient enrollment, benefits investigation, prior authorization, financial assistance, patient communications, case management, and related program workflows. There also may be data specific job responsibilities between UAT testing cycles as needs and workload allow.

Key Responsibilities:

User Acceptance Testing

· Develop UAT strategies, test plans, test scenarios, test scripts, and acceptance criteria based on business and system requirements.

· Execute functional, end-to-end, regression, and integration testing for Patient Support Services applications and related platforms.

· Validate that system functionality supports approved business processes and patient support workflows.

· Test complex scenarios involving patient enrollment, case management, benefits investigation, prior authorization, appeals, financial assistance, fulfillment, and patient communications, as applicable.

· Validate system integrations and data exchanges between internal platforms, vendors, third-party applications, and other business systems.

· Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects through resolution.

· Perform retesting and regression testing following defect remediation or system changes.

· Maintain clear documentation of test results, evidence, defects, and final UAT acceptance.

Business & Cross-Functional Partnership

· Collaborate with Patient Support Services business owners and subject matter experts to translate business requirements into testable scenarios.

· Work closely with Product, IT, Business Analysts, Project Managers, Quality, Compliance, Operations, and external vendors throughout the testing lifecycle.

· Facilitate UAT sessions with business users and ensure appropriate stakeholders participate in testing.

· Communicate testing progress, risks, issues, dependencies, and outcomes to project stakeholders.

· Support business readiness activities and provide input into go-live decisions based on documented testing results.

Quality, Compliance & Risk

· Ensure testing activities align with applicable company policies, procedures, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.

· Validate appropriate handling of patient information and sensitive data within applicable systems and workflows.

· Ensure test cases adequately address business, operational, data, security, and compliance requirements.

· Maintain appropriate audit documentation and testing evidence.

· Escalate significant defects, risks, or gaps that may affect patient experience, program operations, data integrity, or compliance.

Continuous Improvement

· Identify opportunities to improve UAT processes, test coverage, documentation, and testing efficiency.

· Develop reusable test scenarios and regression test suites for recurring PSS processes.

· Contribute to requirements reviews and identify potential gaps before development or implementation.

· Support lessons-learned activities and incorporate improvements into future testing cycles.

· Help establish and maintain UAT standards, templates, and best practices across Patient Support Services.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, Healthcare, Life Sciences, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in User Acceptance Testing, Quality Assurance, Business Analysis, Patient Services operations, systems implementation, or a related discipline.
  • Experience working with business users to develop and execute test cases and scenarios.
  • Strong understanding of software testing principles, defect management, and test documentation.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple testing activities, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies between requirements, system behavior, and expected business outcomes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting Patient Support Services, patient services, hub services, specialty pharmacy, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, or life sciences organizations.
  • Experience testing CRM, case management, patient services, benefits investigation, prior authorization, financial assistance, or patient engagement platforms.
  • Familiarity with healthcare data, patient enrollment workflows, and healthcare technology integrations.
  • Experience working with external technology vendors and implementation partners.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and SDLC processes.
  • Experience with tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, ServiceNow, HP ALM, qTest, or similar test/defect management platforms.
  • Experience with SQL, data validation, APIs, or integration testing is a plus.
  • Familiarity with applicable privacy and healthcare requirements, including HIPAA, where relevant.

Prefer candidates who can type at least 35 words per minute with 97% accuracy.
