## The Role
We are seeking a second, part-time UI/UX designer/engineer to join our growing team of 12 engineers. In this remote, 15-hour-per-week role, you will work closely with our engineering and product teams to design and implement intuitive interfaces for our pet-focused digital products. Because this is an equity-based position, we are looking for a collaborative partner who can bridge design and implementation, helping translate user flows and design systems directly into production.
### Key Responsibilities
* Collaborate directly with our 12-person engineering team to bridge the gap between design and front-end implementation.
* Design intuitive user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity mockups for core product features.
* Build and maintain scalable design systems and interactive prototypes using modern design tools.
* Translate complex requirements into clean, user-friendly digital interfaces.
* Participate in design reviews, iterate rapidly based on cross-functional feedback, and ensure visual and functional consistency across platforms.
### Qualifications & Requirements
* Proven experience in UI/UX design, user flows, interaction design, and visual styling for digital interfaces.
* Strong proficiency in modern design tools (e.g., Figma).
* Solid understanding of front-end development principles to collaborate smoothly and effectively with our engineering team.
* Ability to create clear, implementation-ready mockups, wireframes, and design documentation.
* Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of comfort working independently and asynchronously in a remote, distributed setting.
